Tired of being sick and tired - 5 weeks

I'm only 2.5 weeks out but going through the exact same thing. My surgeon couldn't give me any advice so I've taken it into my own hands and gone to my family doctor who backs the surgery. Haven't heard back about any of my gluten allergies of lactose tests yet. I hope you find an answer SW: 324 DOSW: 322 CW: 302 surgery date-7/10/13 Sent from my iPhone using VST
  2. I'm cleared for puréed and soft foods as of Monday and Monday night I had amazing baked grouper and green Beans which went DOWN good but I felt pressure nausea all night. Then I had a wedge of laughing cow cheese, that went down great and no problems later. Had a ton of Popsicles because they cause no problems either, liquids all go down even orange juice. Tried tuna casserole minus noodles yesterday, tuna, cream of Soup and cooked peas. Very soft very mushy, and the first bite made me nauseous. No throwing up just dizzy/gurgly ick. Then I tried cottage cheese (my favorite!!!!) tastes very blah so I just wasn't interested in it, going to try later with added flavor. And right now I'm trying to eat chicken noodle soup (was okay'd by my doc as long as I mush the noodles in my mouth and not swallow whole) and I can't get over this dizzy tummy feeling. I haven't eaten ANYTHING but a glass of Water and a Popsicle today since 6 am. It's now 1:20pm. I KNOW I'm feeling partial hunger pains because they go away when I eat. But I can't push past this nausea to satisfy myself because I don't want to throw up. SW: 324 DOSW: 322 CW: 309 surgery date-7/10/13 Sent from my iPhone using VST

    Woah...

And I had supper at my parents tonight (fish, mashed potatoes and green beans) and I never realized how FAST PEOPLE EAT! My brother, his girlfriend, my mom and my dad were DONE with platefuls of food within 15 min. Done cleared and dishes done. I had eaten 3 bites by that time and looked up to see I was alone!!!! I pointed it out and my mom was like "wow you never realize that when your the one doing it!!" SW: 324 DOSW: 322 CW: 309 surgery date-7/10/13 Sent from my iPhone using VST

    Woah...

Never thought it was going to be so hard to eat slow. Was cleared for puréed/mushy as tolerated and on my list was Cheerios made soggy in milk... First couple bites were slow and I chewed, and they were small bites, but then habit set in and I shoveled THREE bites into my mouth at one!!!!! I caught myself before I swallowed and I swallowed in 3 smaller portions but man I felt like I was in 6th grade and about to miss the bus!!!!! Graham Elliot

Just learned from another post that one of my BIGGEST HEROS Graham Elliot has had the sleeve surgery. I am ECSTATIC. He is everything I hope to be in life and to learn that he's having the same struggles as me, is so humbling. He's going to continue his career, WITH the sleeve. Do you think he'll NEVER had French fries again? Please he's from chi town, he'll enjoy in MODERATION!!!!!! God this is a sign that maybe I can make it. Good luck to Graham. Trying to open up

People supporting everyone without negative opinions? Wouldn't THAT be something. I can give a big f you to people who wanna try to cut me down. Everyone who's been sleeved knows how ABSOLUTELY TERRIFYING this process is. Surgery is scary no matter what, but a 2 hours surgery topped with months of PRE surgery and months of healing, and truly never being "the same" again? Anyone who can submit themselves to that is ALREADY strong. I've been attacked for even asking questions about OTHER people's cheating, I haven't even thought of cheating yet because fricken Popsicles hurt still!!! So who are these 3 year veterans to judge me and say because I WASN'T self pay that this surgery does mean as much to me?!?! HOW DARE THEY. I started pursuing this surgery in January of 2012. I had to see a nutritionist for 12 months and lose a considerable amount of weight, I had to see a psychologist for 6 months and have my brain and insides picked apart by a judgmental stranger. I think the world is full of hateful, vengeful, and rude people and what better place to find them than hiding behind a keyboard? If they're so insecure with their AMAZING weight loss than go ahead and cut other people down, but in the long run, your the one who will die alone because you've alienated yourself from every friend you had. Note: no one on THIS blog has been so harsh but I woke up this morning to multiple personal messages from some HATEFUL people and I'm speaking out for all the people who've been attacked!!!!! Thanks to those who HAVE been supportive. When I'm laying on the bathroom floor wanting to polish off a bottle of Vicodin, YOUR the people who are going to lift me up and brush me off. Enchilada casserole

Oh yeah I totally missed the beef. Yeah I can't have that. I think I'll layer some Beans and cheese with some sauce or seasonings and top with some sour cream. If I can tolerate of course. Just saw this pin and thought it looked good!!! SW: 324 DOSW: 322 CW: 309 surgery date-7/10/13 Sent from my iPhone using VST
  11. Would this recipe be good/ok for soft/purée diet? Minus the tortillas? SW: 324 DOSW: 322 CW: 309 surgery date-7/10/13 Sent from my iPhone using VST
