  1. They've not mention M.O .M. Would that help with getting rid of gas? I am feeling a lot better but, we'll see if they keep me another day. *fingers crossed*. Remember, I'm a wimp with a low tolerance for pain. I've used the strips and they don't work very well for me. I was borderline dehydrated and so it's a good thing they admitted me. It hurt to drink baby sips at all but, I know it was because I wasn't taking the pain killers regularly. Please everyone get your liquids in and don't be afraid to take pain pills it works wonders. You can do it!!!!

    Non-scale victory!

My non- scale accomplishment is being able to lift my left and sit my foot on top of right knee without no pain. Yeah!!!
  3. I am 3 days post- op. I was admitted in the hospital with S. O. B. last night. I have so much gas pain that hurts really bad. It sickens me that others on this forum had no gas pains as I am so jealous of them. I'm finally farting more today then the previous days. They were looking for a pulmonary embolism which none was found thank god. Word to the wise, get your daily fluids in no matter how uncomfortable they are. If you do experience gas when drinking cold or room temperature it's bc you stomach does not prefer cool or cold. I find its not so bad when drinking warm so I drink a lot of warm tea. I'm not experiencing hunger as I could care less about food so this hormone (grehlin) really resides in the stretchy part of the stomach and controls my appetite. I'm just concentrating on getting all my fluids in. I found out the hard way as I was running a 100 degree temp and pushed to get more fluids in and it brought my temp down. Surgery went well and incisions are perfect and barely bothers me until I have to get up out of bed. Will report some more later and will answer any questions you may have...
  4. Sitting her with iv in and waiting to be taken to surgery. Very calm right now, not feeling anxious. My stomach is growling but, cannot eat anything before surgery. I've got a good doctor, Dr. Tiffany Jessee who is awesome and and comes highly recommended. My time is almost up to go into surgery. Ready to be on the sleeved side. Good luck to all who are getting sleeved today.
  5. Well, in exactly 3 hours I will be arriving at my hospital to get prepped and ready for my sleeve journey. Good luck to all my fellow sleevers today, tomorrow, and in the future. Wishing a speedy recovery to all and to all a good life...
  6. Mine is this Wednesday as well. I have read your post so remember you are doing this for yourself and don't worry about the nay sayers. Good luck to you and a speedy recovery...
  7. You will be just fine. I too am on the 25th with less than 48 hrs to go. You got this girl and you know you will feel better once you get through the bumps and bruises of this surgery. Just stay positive...
  8. Surgery in three days. I'm so ready for this. I have followed my pre-op diet religiously with only one mess up and that was with a fudge sickle and it went right thru me. So I really don't crave anything and sure I will do great with the surgery. It's on like Donkey Kong!!!!!!!

  10. You should be fine. My doctor has me on 2 shakes and 4 oz of lean protein and dark green veggies. Every doctor is different but I believe your way is better with all clear liquids.

    2 months post op

    Welcome to onederland!!!
  12. I think if you bump up your intake to just a 1000 calories a day making sure your getting the right amount of protein and eating only what you should be eating and exercising as you are. You should start to see results. You will at times stall no matter how well you are doing. You will need to adjust your intake and out take multiple times throughout your weight loss journey. When your body is experiencing a reduction in calories and an increase in activity, it will go into starvation mode. It is a natural defense mechanism to hold onto fat and such to help keep the body nourished. It doesn't read your mind and it doesn't know how fat you think you are. All it knows is to defend. I know this because of the many articles I have read in the past and knowing to eat smaller meals throughout the day will ensure your body that it is getting the nutrients it needs and will then release stored fat. Hope this helps...
  13. Oh, I wish you all the best... I am sorry to hear that you are feeling miserable. I suppose I will find out next Wednesday myself. Take care of yourselves and look towards the days when you will be feeling awesome and thinner!!! Love to all <3
