    Reached your personal goal???

I am 12 lbs from my goal weight of 140 lbs. My top weight was 220 lbs. I love my lap band. The best thing I love is that I no longer have the every-morning-dread of my clothes being too tight to fit into. No more drastic yo-yoing weight loss/gain that has robbed me of so much of my life.

    Heartburn Pain ?

Kelsy - I think heartburn is pretty common, although I don't know what causes it. The bigger concern would be if you started having reflux. That would mean your band is too tight. Rachelle

Thanks - I successfully updated my signature. Now I'm having trouble downloading my picture. It's on PhotoBuckets.com, but I receive an error message that says "invalid url." I tried dragging it to my desktop, but then it said, "invalid file." Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong? Rachelle

Hello Bansters. I heard about this web site from Lap Band Forum (Powered by Invision Power Board) which is a great site for LB support, just not as big of a site as this one. I've been reading this site a lot, but this is my first posting. I can't figure out how to update my profile to include my basic stats. I was banded Sep 2006. My top weight was 220. My current weight is 160. I had my surgery in Colorado where I live. Self paid $15,000. I once accidently got a piece of shrimp shell stuck that caused me 4-hours of violent vomitting before it finally passed. Thank the Lord no slippage. Other than that, my LB experience has been good. I wish it worked better on chocolate since that's my weakness, but I knew before surgery that people with sweet tooths typically have a harder time at weight loss. The brochure I read said that some docs won't even do the surgery on people with sweet tooths since it can be ineffective. I was so desparate, though, it was worth the risk. I have no regrets. That's all for now. Hope to get to know some of you better now that I've taken the plunge and posted my first thread. Rachelle
