    NutriBullet?

NutriBullit is wonderful for making frozen Margaritas!
  3. Almost 8 months out, 114 pounds down. Current weight 171.2.
  4. Sleeved April 29, 279 lbs on the day of surgery. As of this morning, 179 lbs. That's a hundred lbs loss in less than 6 1/2 months! Going to celebrate with a protein shake and an hour on the elliptical...
  5. 6 months out, yesterday I ate two peanut M&M's.
  6. Okay, it's been almost 6 months since surgery. Lost close to 100 pounds. Things I have noticed. Firstly, I have gone through all the clothes I had in my closet, from xxxl to l. Even the clothes I used to wear when I thought I was at a " normal" weight are huge on me. Hard, uncushioned chairs are uncomfortable for my now bony butt, painful! The weight loss has happened so quickly that when I look in the mirror I can't wrap my head around the way I look. I can walk up 3 flights of stairs at work without having to sit down and catch my breath before I can chat with someone. I'm not depressed anymore, and don't let people take advantage of me. 3 different responses from people who haven't seen me prior to surgery. One, they don't recognize me, two they recognize me but say nothing about my weight loss because they fear that I've contracted some deadly disease, and three, they congratulate me on my weight loss and ask how I did it. I have become addicted to checking my weight 3 times a week dreading the thought of gaining an ounce. I struggle through days when I don't work out because of the guilt of betraying myself. Unfortunately, the indentation my massive stomach made in my bed will not go away, I have to put a pillow in it to fill it up. Most importantly, I don't wake up twice a night to hit the bathroom, all that weight on my bladder is gone.
  7. Sleeved April 29, down 93 pounds !
  8. 5 1/2 months out from surgery, 90 pounds down, working out regularly. Feeling great! I guess I started to feel a little too good today. Tried some bread with some beef, got seriously slimed. First experience of this kind and hopefully, I won't repeat it. Feels absolutely awful. Like a river of saliva in my mouth and throat. Thought it was curtains for me.
  9. Sleeved April 29 Highest Weight: 297 Surgery date weight: 279 Current weight: 193 Weight lost post surgery: 86 pounds Total pounds lost 104 pounds
  10. I was sleeved on April 29, down 79 pounds since surgery and right now a half pound from onederland!
  11. Sleeved April 29. Pre-Surgery weight 279, currently 203. Total loss 76 pounds. Feeling great. I look in the mirror and I can't recognize myself. Sometimes I think I look great, other times I think I look sickly. I'm still fat in my head. It all happened so fast.
  12. I've gone from 279 pre-surgery weight to 209, about 14 weeks following the sleeve surgery. Losing now about 1 pound a week, despite strenuous daily exercise and maintaining my diet. Can I expect this to continue till I get to my goal which is 185, or is this the "dreaded stall" that I hear much about?
  13. Sometimes I feel like my old 300 pound self is chasing after the new version of me with a keg of beer and a giant pizza, waiting for me to stumble so he can stuff it all down my throat. It may be time to chill out a bit...

    self doubt!

I'm 14 weeks out and am completely obsessed about gaining weight. Every time I have weighed myself I've lost weight, but this does in no way assuage my fears. Additionally, working out has literally become an all consuming experience. I used to work out after work, but the fear of something coming up that might interfere with my workout had me anxious all day. I cured that by moving my workouts to the morning and I'm chilled out the rest of the day. This is certainly a lot different than I used to behave.

    Diet soda

Used to drink a ton of Diet Coke, especially at work. Now I don't even think about it. In some ways even the thought of putting that crap in my body upsets me. I drink Vitamin Water as a replacement. It has a host of vitamins and electrolytes. As far as alcohol is concerned Ill'll have a vodka with ice instead of mixed with club soda, also I love a good scotch, neat.
  16. I am 13 weeks out and have never stalled. I have been consistently losing about 4 pounds a week. Down 67 pounds in 13 weeks. I'm following gastric sleeve nutritional guidelines. I believe the most important thing for me is that I have been doing cardio workout 5 times a week on an elliptical, starting 2 weeks after being sleeved. 35 minutes of hard physical workouts and burning over 525 calories each session.
  17. Fat, thin, fat, thin, fat, thin, fat, fatter, fattest...
  18. Lost 63 pounds since surgery. A year ago I was almost 300 hundred pounds. Got down to 280 just before surgery. Now I'm 217. Been losing approximately 4 pounds a week. Working out a ton. No stalls so far. About 30 pounds to goal. Is this what you consider an expected response to surgery? My nutritionist indicated that I should be losing only 1 pound a week after 1 month out. That hasn't been the case. I'm not complaining, I feel great. Though people who haven't seen me in months think I have suffered some kind of serious illness.
  19. This surgery quite literally saved my life. I would do it again in a heartbeat. My quality of life has never been better. I was a mess when I was terribly obese, had pretty much given up on life. This is my second chance, I'm going to try like heck not to screw it up!
  20. I had surgery April 29th. Dr. Nussbaum from the Obesity Center of New Jersey performed the procedure. Couldn't ask for a better surgeon. 2 grand in labs came back perfect. Cholesterol dropped from a high of 300 to 105. I'm off 4 meds since surgery. I was approaching type 2 Diabetes, that's no longer the case. Even more important is that the depression and anxiety I have suffered with for years has subsided significantly, and I can actually sleep through the whole night. I do have an obsession with losing weight now. I question everything I put in my mouth. If I can't work out on a particular day, I worry about it until I can work out and feel great relief. Hopefully, I find some moderation with this lifestyle.
  21. Had about a handful of my wife's popcorn while watching Wolverine yesterday. Thought I absolutely was going to die. Never again...

    Popcorn

3 months out, thought I can handle it. So far its the only food I tried that gave me such a bad reaction.
