So how many pounds did we lose altogether for this group?
-
Ok- starting weight 217.4 Goal weight for 4th of July: 205 It's a lot for me, asking for 12lbs in a month as I am a very slow loser but that's what my goal is...honestly, as Long as the number goes down, I am happy

I think my starting weight was 227, goal weight was 220? I can't find my old post lol Today I weigh 217.4. I have hit the 70lb (70.6) weight loss mark and have moved into the "teens"! I think I'm in a stall right now but I'm trying to focus on the positive. Wonderland is not far away!

Any February 2014 Sleevers?
gastricsleever replied to honeyg317's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I think I've hit a a stall...just about 3 months out. Exercising, eating my protein and getting most of my water. Anyone else experience this? I've been going up and down the same 1lb for about 2 weeks now. -

I'm a little over 3 months out- I think I've hit a stall. Been going up and down the same 1lb for the past 2 weeks. Anyone else experience this when u were that far out? Suggestions for breaking stall? I am exercising (ran a mud run on Saturday and a 5k this morning!), eating all my protein, getting in most of my water...any other suggestions? -

Kindle! That is great! I feel your joy I just hit my 3 month surgiversary and I am down a total of 70.6lbs, halfway to my goal. 15 I lost on my own and 15 in preop, the other 40.6 since surgery. I feel great and this was the best decision I could ever make! -

I always had problems getting IVs and they had problems at the OCC too. So they knocked me out and then put it in. I told them I was a hard stick and they still tried then they said, yeah you are! Lol -
Today I am 218.6 only lost .4lb this week but I had a really rough week and didn't exercise at all, so I will accept that and I'm happy I didn't gain and now I will do better this week. Hoping to hit 215 by Memorial Day!

Are you happy with your decision?
gastricsleever replied to ireallywannabthin's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
3 months out on on having the sleeve done- best decision I've ever made! I'm 30- wish I had known about it in my 20s...life would've been so much better, instead of always feeling so self conscious and avoiding certain activities that my friends were doing like the beach or any kind of work out like climbing or hiking. -
What do you eat for lunch and dinner? I'm struggling for meal ideas...I'm tired of ham and cheese roll ups, chicken salad, grilled chicken, meatballs.... Ideas please!

I'm looking to do a "skinny" photo shoot like this tool how did u find a photographer? Online or was it someone u knew. And did u have outfits picked out yourself? Or did they help suggest so outfits?

Wow that is terribly rude!! I have a friend who constantly makes jokes like "so why r u ordering that food when u can't eat it all anyway? Ur eyes really are bigger than ur stomach." It's so annoying! -

When i stall, I back to the basics...I go back to only protein shakes for 2-3 days and that usually kicks it off for me. -

Doesn't sound crazy at all, I feel u! I feel SO awkward! I just say yes I have and don't continue the conversation. I also hate when people say "how many pounds have u lost?" How about, that's personal and I don't want to tell u?! -

I have found that when I push myself, it actually hurts my body less if I run faster. When I run at a slower jog, I get tired out quicker. No idea why lol -

Hola! Orale! Seems Mexico is my option

Well it was in february when I went and it was cold in Philly! It was much more enjoyable recovering in sunny California! I booked a couple extra days in Tijuana Marriott and sat by the pool reading a book. It was only $65 a night and the hotel was very enjoyable. Staff were very friendly and I walked to Walmart by myself to get out and get some exercise. Also, if you fly back on your own, just let the airport know that u r having surgery and need a wheel chair. That's what I did so I wasn't standing on my feel long waiting in lines and I got to go on the plane first I don't know about the forum question...I suppose u could just creat a forum and title it My experience Honestly the pre op was not too hard for me because I made small changes along the way. It was a little challenging the first 2-3 days...my pre op liquid diet was 2 weeks. But I lost 15lbs doing it and that alone was rewarding! -

Oh and I'm quite sure I had sleep apnea...but I never got tested for that and my mom says I snore WAY less and quieter now and I've noticed I don't wake up as often during the night now! -

I lost 15 on my own from December and January. Then I lost 15 in my pre-op diet. Then from 2/17 until now 5/13 I have lost the additional 40 Yes they so have private rooms and they do out stockings on you to prevent blood clots. I actually made a mini vacation out if my surgery and spent a few days in San Diego after surgery so that it wouldn't be uncomfortable flying home. I'm glad I did too because for 3-5 days after surgery I was SOOOO bloated and gassy and uncomfortable! I wouldn't have wanted to fly like that lol
