Pre-op appointment, done!
Squizzo replied to BobbieVSG's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
How long since your first consult with the surgeon to your pre op? I have my first consult coming up on Monday and I'm curious the time frame I'm looking at -
How long do these headaches last?
Squizzo replied to sweetangel7998jj's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You're detoxing. Totally normal and usually good by day 3 or 4. Take some excedrine if its messing with your day. Sleep is good! -
Girls! We know each others pain! And it's even annoying that when you do find a b cup in a 42 that its still too big in the cup cuz they make the cup bigger than it would be on a 36! So frustrating! Yeah... Not cool that they take it for granted but on the bright side for us, when it comes time for plastics, we may not have to get the key hole lift... Not that they won't be saggy but they aren't big enough... Just fill 'em with a c implant and we're good to go! ... Hopefully! Lol

Haha... So expensive! I like a lot of what they have but nothing looks good on me. I have no boobs and am all stomach!! I look like a big fat fatty fat in their clothes cuz I don't have the typical big boobs so my shape is crap. Not their fault by any means but it is frustrating to have a big girl store out there that I still can't shop in. And yeah, Walmart and target hae a lot of cute stuff and I can't wait to get into them!

Can this be REAL?!?!
Squizzo replied to TheRealMeIsHere!'s topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
That is awesome! I haven't been sleeved yet but I have terrible back pain and exercising is so hard with this pendulous dangler blocking my legs' range of motion. I also have pics of rashes and tears. I'm sure I'd get approved for a panni but my doctor... I need a new one. I don't even know if she speaks English. She doesn't ask me questions and I've tried to talk to we about my issues but its like talking to a wall Anyhow, please let me know what you did and submitted and what your proof of issues were so I can make sure to be on the right track. Also, how has losing the weight affected it? Did u still have back issues? -
Ugh! So sick of being lonely but dating sucks too! I am about to cancel all of my online dating sites cuz I keep getting asked to be a f*** buddy... And when I do go on a date with a guy who doesn't seem to e interested in only sex, he ends up trying to have sex with me anyway... It's really frustrating. Not sure if because I'm fat, they think that's all I worth is a lousy lay. Was really hoping to find a decent guy while I was large so I know I'm with someone who loves me for me but sadly my options are losers. I'm guessing ill have to wait till I'm thinish and hope for the best. Anyhow, just focus on yourself. Try to knock feelings of loneliness. Maybe join a group sport/activity or make plans with friends/coworkers to have a regular night out once a week It'll be alright. You sound like an awesome guy and will find love when the time is right. (((Hugs!)))

I'm in hemet. Not sure where I'll have surgery. I'm with iehp and am waiting for my bariatric referral. I still have the 6 month supervised diet to do. Anyone have experience with iehp?

I'm wondering if it would be ok to juice during the liquid phase. I would think raw juice wld be safer than processed broth. Is it unsafe cuz of the acid? Wondering if anyone knows.
-
It sounds great to me! Do u try to make your cheese and butter raw as well? And do u use vegetable rennet or animal?
-
Farms that produce raw milk are under strict supervision of the USDA. They sell raw milk at many stores and there are many more good things for you in raw milk than there are in pasteurized and homogenized.

I was vegan when I did raw but wld love to add raw milk next time around. Sooooo fricken yummy! I don't know where u love but I used to live near Santa Monica and they have a few raw restaurants. If you're ever there, u must try planet raw or euphoria loves rawvolution. Heaven!
-
Have u heard of E3 live? It's super good for you. I used to drink a lil bit in the morning. You only need a lil bit. Especially when u are raw cuz u absorb everything really well. As for the Protein you're getting, that is also absorbed really well. R u still taking all the Vitamins and whatnot? I am looking very forward to going back to raw after getting sleeved. I am tempted to do it now but after losing so much and then gaining it all back, I really need the sleeve as a tool to keep me on track. What do u plan to do after the 30 days? U are gonna feel like crapola once you start eating other things Anyhow, so glad to hear your success!
-
I hate the detoxing but usually only lasts a couple days for me. Then it's all good till I eat something not raw.
-
If u do a green smoothie with spinach banana and strawberries or blueberries, u will love it. U gent ur veggies in and it's nice and sweet. My baby loves it too.

I loved being raw. Im not sleeved yet but going raw was a wonderful journey. I was almost 100% most of the time and lost a ton of weight. 60 lbs. Sadly gained it back cuz I lost my active job and cldnt get back on the raw track. I wld love to go raw once sleeved though not sure how far out wld be safe. Garden of life makes a raw protein meal which taste decent but I'm not sure I cld handle it after being sleeved cuz the shake thickens a lot after sitting so I would assume wld expand in the pouch making it uncomfortable. Anyhow, I'm glad you're doing this and stick to it. It's wonderful and you will lose the deprived feeling after about 3-4 days. It took me 3 days to stop craving bread. After that, it was smooth sailing. My main concern with going raw wld be that with a smaller stomach, it might be hard to eat enough. I know a raw foodie needs to eat a lot to get all the nutrients in. I think the juicing prolly helps with that though. Excited to see how your journey goes and hope your detox is over with

I am almost 100 percent positive I will have to have a panniculectomy. Just can't imagine my dangling tummy will cease to dangle considering its been hanging there for a good 15 years... My question is, is it worth bothering with abdominal exercises if I'm going to get a panniculectomy anyway? I am sure the ab exercises will help me look better faster but would I be better off spending that energy on my arms and thighs with the hopes of avoiding them needing surgery? Just wondering what y'all think

Is it worth doing abdominal exercises if you know you're getting a panniculectomy
Squizzo replied to Squizzo's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
That's a good point! Insurance wise, I'd only be be to get a panniculectomy. If I somehow make a ton of money (totally possible right?!) I'd go for a tummy tuck for sure. Time will tell -
breast lift and pregnancy
Squizzo replied to mariamitani's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
I'm assuming since u won't be breastfeeding, there shouldn't be an issue with sagging since, if they grow during your pregnancy, they won't be that big for that long and should bounce back. I'd say to for it cuz I don't think it will be an issue but I do not know you or your skin -
I don't think an augmentation is supposed to interfere with breastfeeding and if u get a tummy procedure, go for one without the muscle tightening so that won't complicate a pregnancy. Many have not had an issue even with the muscles done before a pregnancy but some have and you're better off avoiding that. And when u get preggo, just take good care of that skin and you shouldn't need and follow up surgeries... Fingers crossed... Hopefully at your age though, hit those weights and do those ab exercises... Drink lotsa water and moisturize that skin. Hopefully you won't need to do much surgery wise

I look dreadful with short hair but maybe after loosing a certain amount, and the hair starts falling out, maybe I'll just do a short lil pixie cut and hopefully with the weight loss it will look good. I'm not sleeved yet. Still gotta do the 6 month physician supervised diet but I like to think ahead ... And the thighs... How about squats? I know mine are gonna look funky and I'm hoping squats will do the trick. Hopefully some lotion will help too...Good luck

Sleeve revision to gastric bypass tomorrow
Squizzo replied to nailsbyniki's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
Risky1... How in the heck have u lost over 100 lbs in just over 2 months?! That's crazy! I hope you're ok. I'm guessing u must have a lot to lose... How much if I may ask? Again, I hope you're alright and that the revision will get you eating again -
Vsg And Pregnancy-Losing Weight After Baby
Squizzo replied to NaomiesMommy's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
Many gals on here are hopeful that breast feeding will help get the weight off. My personal experience... And this could be more due to my boobs being deformed and incapable of making enough milk... But bf made me more hungry and my ppd from not making enough milk along with my metabolism slowing down from no longer working at my active job... It was a horrible combination for me. I gained 60 of the 100 I lost by the time she was 5 months. I have NOT been sleeved so I am not speaking from this spectrum. I am lurking here cuz I'm contemplating having a baby before surgery or waiting till after goal weight post surgery. I'm having a really hard time deciding now after reading these posts. I was leaning toward surgery first but I'd hate to go through weight gain again and what I've read so far has me a lil worried... You gals are doing amazing though! Not sure I would though... Ack! -
Muscle exercises for the face and consider a lift. U deserve to look as good as u feel!
-
Ugh! I know what u mean girl! I lost 100 lbs and all of a sudden people were nice to me and for once, my family was treating me with respect and even calling me pretty and all that nice crap... It was sooo nice... Then I gained it all back super fast and I tell ya, I had more confidence as a blissfully ignorant fat person than I do now as one who got to step on the other side briefly and flung right back into this horrible reality. Fat people get treated like crap! Anyhow, you must learn to let go of all that baggage and live the life you've always seen yourself living. I know it's hard... I know it's not fair that these guys never got to see the real you under the fat and I know you feel pissed that you gotta try to find a decent guy who (even though you're never going to gain that weight back) would love you anyway. It's so unfair that we can't find mr. Right while we are chunky... But as time goes on, I'm wondering how much of that is my fault. You deserve to be happy. You always have and you will find an awesome guy! Cuz you are awesome!
