    First 24-48 Hours...

Im on my third day post op. I can say that I really do not feel that anything has changed. The hospital keep up with the pain meds and I started liquid pain meds as soon as I got home. I think that my pre op diet is the same as my post op for the first week. I can take all my pills whole and i dont feel a change. I was 392 when I started preparing for the surgery and was able to get up to 30 minutes on a walker before the surgery. I would say the more you prepare before surgery both dieting and exercise will help you recover on the other side of it. Im a big beliver in the Optifast meal supplements. If you havent heard about them they would be good to ask about. Made by Nestle and my 18 year old son drinks them as a supplement and likes them even though he dont need to be on any diet.

    Any Baytown Texas sleevers?

This is my first post ever. I just got the sleeve done by Dr. Hollis at Memorial Herman Southeast. I started this journey in January 2013 and started at 392. After my scope on March the 7th he put me on an all Optifast diet. This was 5 8 ounce drinks a day. I cheated a little but stuck to it pretty good. I weighed in at the surgery at 338. A total of 54 pounds. I can tell you that im not soar at all other than the stitches. I drove my car today which is the third day with no issues. I staying on the pain meds about every 6-8 hours so nothing jumps at me. My meals are Optifast in morning with two Multivitamin pills. For lunch i have one optifast and then a sugarfree popsicle. For dinner the same. I look forward to talkling to the two of us and maybe we can create our own support group here locally. I will join the one at the hospital but would like to have one a little closer also. I currently live in Mont Belvieu. Roy
