What am I doing to myself?
Rox replied to jvonna09's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
what's done is done - get up, brush yourself off, and start over -
You are so beautiful, Good Luck and Happy Healing
-
I am so lucky - I hate dark chocolate, now if it were milk chocolate, i'd be all over it. Amanda, is this you're cruel streak coming out?? Posting pictures of food??
-
Congrats on the earlier date - try unjury, it's mail order, but you'll need it for after surgery too and GNC has Isopure, clear liquid flavored protein, w/40g of protein

I too have a healthy hatred of exercise - I think it's because my husband is a long-distance runner. I can't imagine running unless something awful is chasing me. Anything that involves bouncing is just not going to happen - all that jiggling, and loose, hanging body parts could hurt someone. I have a stationary bike that I had to change the seat on, because for some reason, bike seats need to be able to supply ouchy wedgies. After I lose 20 or 30 lbs. I will join my husbands gym - but it ain't gonna be pretty.

Happy Healing!!

Am I crazy?!? What is going on here?!
Rox replied to Flagstaffian's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
If you find that your insurance company won't work with you - self pay. Have you talked to your therapist and primary care physician?? Just remember, this is not a magical surgery, it's a tool. If you read alot on this forum, you will find that this is not easy, you may be asked to do a two week liquid diet to reduce your fatty liver - you have to follow the surgeons instructions to a T. If you want this bad enough, you'll figure out a way -
Did your shoe size get smaller ?
Rox replied to NoOrganicForMe's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
NO NO NO - I don't want my feet to get smaller - I bought,OK went a little crazy with sandals this year, and not the cheap ones, they are all 8 1/2s - I really thought i'd have them for the next 5 years. I am going to have a massive yard sale next summer -
If I had insurance that paid for Bariatric surgery - I would need to do the sleep study even though my husband tells me I stop breathing at night. I know what you mean, my BMI is 36 also

Single incision vsg with Dr. Carlos Diaz? Anyone?
Rox replied to Bailey2194's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
If I may ask, how old are you? I'm an older woman so I don't have the urge to wear a bikini in public. If you are in the bikini appropriate age group, I would definitely try for the one incision -
If I really really believe, ( and work my sleeve) maybe I will have them too!!

Rox replied to Paradise Mom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I vow that I will ask my surgeon what I can and cannot eat/drink for the first 6 weeks. -
I told my therapist that - I see her for other reasons, but , just sayin' she didn't pay me

How long does this soreness last?
Rox replied to sparker's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes, what band??? -
There is another one called gastricsleeve.com - it is basically the same as this one - i've found stories I can relate to on both
-
I think learning to work with the sleeve will be harder than quitting smoking. I just quit 7 days ago - but i don't know whether I have to do any liquid diet - I hope not, I have read everywhere on this forum that it just sucks
-
That's right !!! Not all carbs are evil - what is evil is white sugar
-
Welcome Kimberly - you will love these forums, everyone is very supportive
-
Congratulations on feeling good about yourself - that's what this surgery is all about - feeling good again

Sleeved May 30 2013, can eat anything! Uh oh
Rox replied to eburns's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Truthfully, I think the OP posted in the first place so that some one would tell her NO - none of these posts were snarky or mean, I did not give my opinion because although I know that OP needs a mental health professional. I guess I may have been meaner than you guys -
Thanks for the update - now, go back to bed

Rox replied to KittyLouSou's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
