Nature's Plus Ultra Energy Shake. Anyone tried them?
Rox replied to chickadee73's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
You know, everyone says to try different protein drinks and shakes to see what you like - but, after surgery I guess your taste can change and you can't drink what you thought you liked - so, individual packets make the most sense -
Wow! From everything I have read it seems to be one extreme reaction or the other - some have diarhhea and others are constipated - haven't seen anyone with no issue - Well, we'll see after mine

What a great idea!!! -
Fiddleman's exercise regimen is just a suggestion of what progression looks like. Alot of us won't be taking it to that extreme

After reading about all the pre-op diets out there, i've found that they vary just as much as the post-op instructions

congrats on arranging your surgeries - i'm going to Mexico too, but with a different surgeon - Yeah - I too look forward to never hearing that back-handed compliment "but, you have such a pretty face"

Boy can I relate to this - I don't know what Jessica London, Roamans, Woman Within, Avenue, Lane Bryant, and OneStopPlus are going to stay in business with all of us working to go into normal sizes. I never thought I would look forward to buying cheap clothes!!!

I need to find out what the pain med protocol is - I know dilaudid works and doesn't make me sick - I should probably let them know

Stalker nutritionist????? -
Maybe just the soft scrambled eggs if you're cleared for it. My understanding is protein 1st - then liquids at the beginning....

Rox replied to thedivinemsQ's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
And as you keep reading you'll find more variations - along with newly sleeved people who apparently got no post-op guidelines -

Welcome Back! Admittedly your story is sobering, but this forum is for everyone, not just success stories. Please look into a re-sleeve, I have read that they can do them.

Sipping ends with post op?
Rox replied to angiemorda's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I hope I can drink like that at some point after surgery. -
I thought that if you signed the release allowing your medical records to be released to another physician - they had to do it - your signature granting permission should be enough. From your experience it does not surprise me that they're being d-bags about the whole thing.

Sounds like you're doing fine - looking forward to more updates

Congratulations on your baby girl

Yay!!! You lived through it, and now you have a stent, and a small stomach. Keep us up-to-date on your progress

Looks vs. Health...looks 1 health 0
Rox replied to nursepez's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
There's nothing wrong with wanting to be hot - even in your 50's and 60's - I know that when I was younger, I thought, who cares what i'll look like at 50, i'll be close to death. Now that I know that life doesn't end at 50, I want to take control of my body and do everything possible to keep it healthy and fit. My husband has been taking me to task for years over my health. Now I want to outlive him. -
congratulations!!
