This is what the Bugg (Sammy) has done for me. Black and white top 6/23/07 377, red May 25, 2008 310 and beige May 26, 2008 310. My journey started Jan 7, 2008 down 67lbs. Only my arm and my teeth are banded (braces).

Today was my third day with 25mg of topamax for 7 days. Next week 50mg. Thanks for letting me know what I will be in for. Does anyone know where it says we can only have 3 shots of Toradol per in a year because it does dammage to kidneys? Two docs have told me this but they tell me this while I am getting shot and can't really talk.

Hi everyone, As of today I have lost 61lbs with my Bugg and no band. I could not have come this far without it.

Hi Tamala, Doing great Since Jan 7, I have lost 52 lbs with the BB. Still not banded.

Just wanted to know if everyone is still using the Bugg?

My daughter is 16 and has just told me yesterday she wants the band. I have no problem with this. It will be her father. She wants to go to the jr prom in June of 2008 has even found a dress, not her size. Can you help me in what I could say to him to convince him this the the best thing for her. :help: My mother who is 500+ lbs thinks she is too young. My feeling is she should do this. Why wait till she needs meds, and continue to gain. Let's make the rest of junior and senior year better for her. What changed her mind about the band was seeing the "Before & after pics" I think it was the one of Puddin. Thanks

Rainer, I started doing research about the band for me about the end of May. This was for me. Jessie was against me just having any surgery. About two weeks ago I was on and she saw some of the pictures, this past Sunday she said she wanted to do it. She sees that it does work. I would never allow her (being underage) to do any surgery without doing alot of research. I have told her this will change her life. Thanks

Sarah, It does make sense. I did tell her this is not MAGIC. That she goes to sleep for 45 minutes and wakes up thin. That this would be a lot of hard work. She would not be able to do this till the end of January. Her telling me about the Jr. prom and the dress among other things was her way of telling me what she wants. I will talk to her about goals. Myra, thank you I am going to let her dad read all of these posts. It might be easier for him to say yes. She has no self esteem. I do understand about the beach. I just love her so much an want her happy and healthy.
