Is there anyone covering for your Doctor?

I was originaly scheduled for 01/05/10 but backed out 3 hours before surgery. I told my mom and she told a few family members. They were all against it. Last Monday I called the Dr and got a date of 7/21/10. I told my daughter and sister in law who are behind me.

There is so much I want to do. Everything I'm not doing now I want to do. I would love to date again. Just to start off, I want to walk up the stairs and not be so tired from half a flight.

Hi everyone, my date is July 21, 2010. My previous date was January 5, 2010 and I coud not go through with it. Too much negitivity from family. Called the Dr. three hours before surgery told him I was not comming. This time I decided to tell only three people. One is still not onboard (mom) but I told her if she had anything bad to say don't say it. I start pre-op diet on 7/7/2010. Good luck everyone.

Today is the day. Surgery is set for 12:30. I am nervous. Doc requires his patients to stay overnight. so I won't be home till tomorrow afternoon.

Hi, I have had a few surgeries and they usually come off in a couple of days. I never take them off they come of on thier own.

Hi everyone, surgery date is getting close. January 5th. The time was changed from 10 till 12:30. So a week form now I will be in recovery, and on my way to a new me. Everything is done, all visits, tests and shopping. I am so excited. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Today my dsil and I were going to Philly. But because of the weather we could not go. I had wanted to use that time to talk to her about my surgery and find out how she felt. We were able to talk. She can't wait for me to be banded. She said if she need to do it she would. And is in agreement 100%. Thats one. Daughter says shes in the middle.

I hope not to be using it for much longer too. I use oxygen with mine. I also have miccro brain arosuals, mine brain wakes up every 15 seconds so my brain was always awake. I still take off the mask at night wile sleeping. Can u tell me what the name of the small maching is? Twenty-three more days:thumbup: Thanks

I am sorry about your mom. My mom tells me to try harder too. I have tried for so long on my own now I need the help that the band can give. I hope she does understand, one day.

Thats nice that she is really being so supportive. I wish mine was.

My mom keeps sending me recipes, about 6 per day. I told her that would not be able to make them. My surgery is Jan 5,. She says to save them I will make them in a couple of months. She has not been supportive and has told me she is against the surgery.

They won't talk me out of it I am doing the for me. I don't want to give relationship advice (as I am not the best person to give it) Maybe you have to concentrate on yourself too. We are all going to be hot. I don't want to be tied down. But sometimes I think is it easier to be with someone who is banded. They understand. :scared2: Thanks

All new me 2010, Thanks for the support, and I do need it. I think my daughter is worried about me not cooking for a while. And when I do it's not going to be the same. As far as friends right now I don't want to tell anyone because of what happened with the other friend. As for my boyfriend who I have been dating on and off for 10 years (the last 3 have been on and off) first 7 were good. I am not telling him. I have decided not to date anyone right now. I have to take care of myself. As my family daughter, mother, brother, Sister in law and neices. I am going to have to sit them down and explain why I am doing this. Your boyfriend is afraid you might leave him. Thanks Joyce

Hi Heidi, I am going to be banded 1/05/10. I can't wait, I am a bit nervous about all the changes. I have started making some changes before so that it won't be as hard.
