You do have choices. There are always choices. You can either comply with your insurance carrier or you can pay for it on your own. My insurance company required me to have a supervised diet for ONE YEAR. -

My dr put me on soft foods yesterday (9days postop)

I'm 10 days post-op and I've been bad too. I had a south beach diet protein bar. It was the whipped peanut butter kind and it was SO good. I have no idea what I should have for dinner, but I'm sick of yogurt and soup.
