Curious, do any of y'all have left side pain? My doctor told me right before he took me back that I would have left side pain for a while because its the biggest incision and it would be stitched down to a muscle. That incision is still sunk in and my side hurts. It's day 11 and I thought it would be over by now. Any one else??

Sleeved the 6/19/13 and my left side is still hurting. I see my doctor on the 3rd for my 2 week check up. He told me right before I went back for surgery that I would have discomfort in my left side for a while and it is normal because its the biggest incision and they stitch it down to my muscle. The stitch should break after a few weeks. That one incision in sunk in. It hurts! I am ready for the stitch to break and my tummy to level out. I think I will call tomorrow to just confirm the pain lasting this long.

I think I'm going to try some fresh ginger in some broth. I had some today at a Thai restaurant and it was soooo good. Isn't is funny how we get a thrill out of different Soups. Lol I never thought I would really do this. I pray we both are very successful and can get healthy!! Where are you from? I'm in Denton, Tx.

June 2013 Sleevers! "The List"
Morganne replied to rebecca_dsu's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
So I bought a size 12, just got home and for the heck of it tried it on. The sucker almost fits. Maybe I should have gone with a 10! -
Day 10: I've been at the mall all day. I purchased some Thai broth from a food place in the mall and it was awesome!! I also purchased a size 12 dress with hopes of getting into it in mid August for a wedding. I'm a 16/18 now so it's doable! How is everyone? I'm having zero problems drinking. My left side is still sore but I know that's expected until the inside stitch breaks.

June 2013 Sleevers! "The List"

I just bought a goal dress at Ross (so I didn't spend much) in hopes of wearing it in August to a wedding. I found a blog where this girl had goal dresses and it motivated her to workout. I'm going to give it a try!! -
I haven't had any trouble drinking. But I'm further out than you. Just take it slow and try Gatorade. I had horrible hiccups the first week but they are gone now. Wait until you sneeze Also, I know this is tmi but we are all in the same boat. I didn't go #2 for 8 days. I finally mixed some miralax with my drink and the next day I went. Now it's all diarrhea. Everything I've read says that's normal because we are only drinking liquids.

Hey, I'm in Denton. Where are you?

It was good! A little sweet. Next time I may try pickle juice to help with leg cramps.

My doctor said I can have any soup I want as long as its diluted and ran through a strainer. It must be a liquid. Milk shake consistency would be to thick. I usually mix one and half can full of skim milk and the other half with water. It's no thicker than the protein drink I get and it goes right through a strainer. I feel very confident in my doctor. He is extremely popular and has over 5,000 sleeves under his belt. If I ever have a question I call his office and they are wonderful. I'm on day 10. I purchased my strainer at Walmart. It's the one with the smallest holes. I would compare it to the screens on your window. June 5 pre-op diet 203 Sleeve June 19 187 Today 179

I had a weird feeling in my stomach the first couple of days and I wasn't sure if it was hunger. I was sleeved the 19th too and I don't feel any hunger. It's so odd! It's a chore to eat now and no longer what I think about. For me this is a blessing.

Morganne replied to wmbt's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You will make it! It's so hard the first 3 days. I'm day 9 and I walked to mall, went to the movies, and played with my 3 year old outside. -
Just a metal mesh one with the tiny tiny holes.
