You'll be ok. You have to stay on them and tell them you need more. I had to. With my c-section I begged them to take the pump off because I wanted to stay awake and with this I wanted to be put to sleep. Lol -

I had a drip of something and it didn't touch the pain so I asked for liquid codeine. That did the job!! I couldn't stay awake long enough to remember to push the button every 10 minutes so when I woke up I would be in pain. -
Yummy!!! Mix strawberry nectar protein with one frozen banana in the Yonanas!! Amazing!!! Chocolate is great too!!

I'm so glad you posted this! I am at week 4 today. I have the exact same pain on my left side above my incision (like 4 inches above) and I have a knot. Please let me know what they tell you. It only bothers me when I bend, put in clothes and lift my leg to high etc

Nerve issues under left arm
Morganne replied to Fiddleman's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Did you ever contact your doctor? I'm 4 weeks out tomorrow and in the last couple of days I have had this weird feeling in my left arm. It feels numb but alive. Lol if that makes sense. It's mostly annoying at night when I'm trying to go to bed. It tingles in my hand a little. It's a weird feeling. Not quit the same as something falling asleep, like a foot etc. -
I'm still having some pain. It's not horrible, getting better. I think it may be constipation.

I am in the same boat!!! I'm a bridesmaid in a wedding set for November 23. I was sleeved June 19th. I'm down 31 lbs. and dress sizes from a 20 to a 16 now. I have to order 12 weeks in advance. I have no clue what to order!!! I am thinking a 12 to be safe. That's 4 months. Maybe a 14. I going to go try on dresses July 27 and find a size that's tight and order the next size down. So stressful! I don't want to mess up her wedding or stress her out. My moms a seamstress so that helps!!

My experience wasn't bad. They just had a full house and people should have been released but were kept a second night. Knee and back surgeries I took my dad to forest park last week and I did not think it even compared to victory. Victory is a small, clean and new hospital. Nurses are awesome. My dad will for sure go to victory. Ask to take a tour. -

Don't hold me to that. My dad is having surgery and that is what we were told. -

I was told that victory is more busy because they are the only hospital that allows the sleeve and hiatal to be done at the same time and filed in the insurance. -

Next Wednesday I will be 4 weeks out. I am having this new pain on my left side/abdomen. I called the on call doctor and he said to take pain meds and call back in the am if its not better. I'm freaked out. I think every person worries about a leak. I'm wondering if maybe I bent over wrong and pulled my incision causing it to hurt. Anyone else had this happen?

It must be Natalia. I left her a voicemail at 3 pm one day and she didn't call me back. Finally at 11 the next morning I called back and asked for a different PA. While I was talking to that PA, Natalia beeped in. Lol no thanks! She just doesn't have much personality. I think that's the issue. I'm not one to hate on people but it is her job to be helpful and that she is not. Just my two cents. -
For me heather it was painful but not as bad as my c-section. I too had to hold onto the railings in the hospital after my csection. The hardest thing was for after vsg was using the bathroom and getting up and down. That lasted two days.

So, my dad has decided to get the sleeve. The victory medical center has changed their rules and now was a $4,000 fee upfront. So, no longer will they bill you like they are me. Keep that in mind. -

Sharp pain in my right side
Morganne replied to jssybravo's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I would have never known I had a stitch if the doctor hasn't told me what to expect. It was internal. My entire side and back hurt until it dissolved and released. It was awful.
