  1. Hi.... I know we all have our own different experiences, as far as post op. I would suggest being very prepared for your work days. Pack your meals, even taking a bite while you chart helps to get your protein in. I'm excited for you, I was sooooo nervous right up to being wheeled into the or ( am I doing the right thing?) YES I WAS!!!!! Follow your physicians orders and you will do great
  2. Hi.... I work 12 hr shifts in labor and delivery...... My surgeon wanted to send me back after two weeks ;( there is SOOO much to figure out... Such as.... How to get fluids in ... And then how to properly chew your food, and get enough protein in for the day.... The first two weeks your body heals, the next two are spent living in your new body.... If you can afford taking 4-6 weeks off..... It is well worth it...my first day back was so busy (typical) I was very happy I made sure I was ready to get back in to the swing of things .

    Super Nurses With Sleeves (Support Group)

    Hi: I'm Cindy , I live in so California I have been an lvn for 35 years and work in labor and delivery. I was sleeved on June 10th, and I've lost 35 lbs so far... I'm sooooo happy I made this decision. It's nice to give my clothes to goodwill knowing I will not return to that size again my scrubs at work are going down in size also thank goodness work pays for them ... Look forward to reading everyone's progress.
