I have lost a lot of weight and so much energy but no matter how much you loose. 4 to 5 hours of sleep is not enough. Sometimes that just happens and I have to make it up somehow.

Anyone know how those will effect us now?

So. Can someone explain to me why drinking with a straw is bad. I did the other day and got so much more water in. I haven't done it since but what does it hurt? Thanks!

I am 8 weeks out. Doing fairly well, but I have no idea how many calories I should be eating in a day or how to decide if the food has too many carbs. Any advice on this would be great. Thanks

I have been doing really well since I had the surgery on May 15th, but these last couple of weeks I feel myself getting off track. Trying new foods and struggling with protein. Really could use some advice on getting back on track and being focused!

I was sleeved on May 15th. I have yet to be able to drink a protein shake. They make me sick and I was drinking them before the surgery just fine. My doc said that some people don't tolerate them well. I just focus on getting my protein elsewhere. I am doing great and down 50 pounds. Hang in there and don't stress yourself out. That was actually an order from my doc Don't stress yourself out and listen to your body we are all different." -

I will use sugar free pudding (chocolate) and mix with fat free whip cream. Tastes like chocolate mousse.

I am two weeks out. Made a cake when I was at home visiting family and licked the spatula without even thinking. I thought I had killed these bad habits. Now I am being even more vigilant in my day to day behavior.

I am in my second week post op and no matter what I do I have the absolute worst breath. Any idea what could be causing this. Any advice on how to stop it?

Just had surgery need help with Protein
HeatherD posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had my surgery on May 15th. Everything is going well except I know I need to be getting in Protein. The best way to do this is through the shakes my doctor has preapproved. Before surgery I didn't have any problems drinking them. Now I can take about two sips and they make me sick to my stomach. I know my stomach isn't full. I can keep down broth, milk, sugar free Jello, and Water, but when it comes to these shakes I just can't do it. I am nervous that if I don't start getting my protein I will have some problems. Any advice would be appreciated. There have to be other options then the ones my doc approves. (Bariatric Advantage, Chike, and New Direction). Thanks for any advice.
