Syntrax Nectar Experts?
cparri2 replied to Vidalia's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I bought a bunch of sample packets and the only one that did not taste like medicine was chocolate truffle..... It taste like the best chocolate milk! My 3 year old to a sip and always ask for more. I'm on my 3rd or 4th large container! Also Vitamin shop carries the brand. Sent from my iPhone using VST -
I love mirana ...I had the ring before but it's just so nice to not worry about replacing anything. No my husband can not feel it it pretty far up there and the strings are short, Sent from my iPhone using VST

Ok so I am on mirana too and some people have no periods with it but lucky me I still do but they are short and light.... However my first after surgery was very heavy and longer and even got cramps. Sounds like surgery can change our periods? My cousin got sleeved 4 months ago and hers are all crazy now with blood clots so weird and not sure what causes it. Sent from my iPhone using VST

Anyone feel amazing post op?
cparri2 replied to JessicaAnn's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My recovery was so easy I was shocked. I did sleep for 2 straight days and Water was hard to drink the first 3-4 days but a very little to no pain and never had gas pain. I was about and about on day 5 and walking a mile on the treadmill day 7 and have not stopped moving since! I think the 2 week liquid diet and a positive attitude makes a huge difference in recovery. I'm down 35 and this week I have really started feeling thinner. I have also bought 1 new pair of pants from Walmart .. Surprised they had some cute clothes for cheap! I'm weird because people always say even though I lost all this weight I still see a fat person well I am the exact opposite. I was heavy all my life and lost 75 lbs senior year of high school and kept it off through out college plus lost more. However after college marriage and a baby 7 years later I gained all back plus 30 lbs. however I never felt like a fat person again ... I remember being shocked when something didn't fit or getting on a plane and the belt almost not fitting and was baffled. So I was a thinner minded person stuck in a fat body. Now as the weight is coming off I'm feeling more like myself again and sooo happy! Sent from my iPhone using VST

My program included a 2 week liquid pro op diet and then after surgery 6 teaspoons of puréed adding about a teaspoon every week. During this time I should have 3 Protein shakes. I get 1/4 c at 3 months... Work my way up to 1/2c at 6 months...3/4 at 9 months ... 1 c at a year and moving forward. As my food increases my protein shakes decrease. I'm suppose to have 1/2 my portion protein , 1/4 veggie, 1/4 starch. I'm only 2.5 weeks out and 7 teaspoons so I'm only really eating protein . Overall everyone program is different my cousin is 3.5 months out and allowed 1 c of food. I personally like taking it slow in portions I feel like it gives me time to change my habits and relationship with food. Best of luck to you and I hope you find someone your comfortable with. What are your "go-to" foods?
cparri2 replied to dma2013's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm am 3 weeks post op also and can eat anything soft or puréed. I'm loving ground chicken salad, eggs over easy, the avocado smoosh recipe I found on here, pintos and cheese, and sugar free Popsicles when I want to bit into something. I have also just puréed a couple of meals that my husband and son were eating and it's good too. Sent from my iPhone using VST -
My pre op diet was 2 weeks and I could do Clear Liquids only, Protein drinks, broth, sugar free Jello, sugar free Popsicles. I survived with a positive attitude about it I think it made a huge difference. I kept reminding myself this diet is what is going to make recovery easier and I'm loosing weight. however i do Agree the first few days are the hardest but gets easier. The chocolate truffle sintrex nectar was the saving grace those two weeks! It is REALLY good taste like the best chocolate milk! Best of luck and remember this diet is the hardest part and there is and end! Sent from my iPhone using VST
