It was the same for me as it was for j.s.. No test for me. We just sat and talked. The only bad thing that happened was after the appt. Some man was out in his truck and said he had a gun and was going to kill himself and anyone who got in his way. I was moved into the back office by some police officers and had to stay there for 2HOURS. The man did kill himself but no one else. He was in a truck camper so I didn't have to see him. I was finally escorted to my car by a officer with a BIG gun.

Movie is --Easy rider and OMFG for leader it said --HITLER I think I am going to kill myself before I kill someone else!! I am nothing like HITLER!! I promise!! I must have answered a question wrong!!??!!?? I think I need to retake it???????????????

I did not have one during surgery, BUT I couldn't pee after surgery and when I went 20 hours without peeing they put one in. It was a relief to have it in. They almost sent me home with a portable one but I had the choice of taking it out and trying to pee on my own again or going home with the portible one. I chose taking it out and trying. I peed 4 hours later and went home 1 hour after peeing!!! My surgeon said it sometimes happens after surgery.

Stupid me, Stupid me I watched "Ring 2" tonight! It scared the S#@t out of me!! I am such a wimp. 42 and still scared of a stupid movie!! I kept waiting for the dumb phone to ring like in "Ring 1". That one didn't scare me too bad so I thought "Why Not?" Home alone and watching scarey movies. like I said; STUPID ME, STUPID ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh God, Where is my family when I need them? Night all, I will try again!! Talk to you tomorrow if I make it through the night! LOL :) :) ARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

Hi Dianeb, Oh yea, bloating is normal! it's all the gas they pump into you at surgery time. Just keep walking and it will PASS! It took me about 2 weeks before I could sleep on my stomach again! I did a lot of hugging a pillow at night. My advice world be to Walk Walk Walk and sip sip sip! Congratulation on your band!!

Ok, I slept some. No long haired, wet, dead girl came after me last night! LOL No Karen it wasn't DVD, It was on Pay perview!!

I don't know what I would do if I lost my best friend, My Band? Oh God please don't let that happen! I really don't think I could do bypass but then again I know I dont want to weigh over 300 again either!

Hello fellow Arizona Bandster!!!! It's good to see someone else from AZ. Not too many of us here. Where at in Px. do you live? I live up about 15 miles from Show Low. I was Banded in Nov 04 in Flagstaff and am down almost 70lbs now!!!!! I LOVE MY BAND!! It's been a lot of hard work but it is something I would do again in a heart beat if I had to!!! I chose the band over bypass because I didn't feel right cutting my insides and rearanging then. But that is just me, I know that it is fine for some just not me. There are about a hundred reasons but that's #1. I have had 5 fills so far but am in need of another one soon. I had my Surgery on Nov 19 and my first fill on Dec 23. I have a Vanguard 10cc band. Do you know what kind of band you have? I guess I am answering some of your questions from your other thread? Oh well! :) Again it is good to talk to another Arizona Bandster!!!! GO DIAMONDBACKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh Christine, I know how you feel!!!! I was on a Liquid diet for 14 days before my surgery also and it was the longest 2 weeks of my life. But I did it! And SO CAN YOU!! It's hard but just think of the outcome. I lost 11 lbs that 2 weeks.All I could have was clear liquids, 3 cups of skim milk per day, sf jello, sp popcicles and 2 fudgecicles per day. Do as Lisa (DeLarla) says, go find something to do! Go window shopping and look at all the clothes you are going to be able to fit into after surgery!! We are here for you so pound away on that keyboard!!! Here is a big hug for you! (((((((HUG))))))) Keep your chin up! You can do it!! It' all worth it!!

I have been thinking about Carolyn (Blossom) a lot these last few days. I'm not sure why? So I went and was reading some of her threads and posts. She has been gone for 6 months now and her Birthday would have been next Wednesday the 21st. Maybe she was thinking about LBT in Heaven, and that's why I was thinking about her. How did the roses grow this summer that were planted in her name? She was such a sweet lady! I didn't know her well but I really miss her!

Hi Tiffany, Welcome to LBT. I have been at this for 10 months and have lost almost 70lbs and I am STILL scared of failing! I don't know if it will ever go away. I just keep telling myself that "I CAN DO IT"!! It has not been easy and I still have to work hard at losing, but I think it is still the best thing that I have ever done for myself.I would do it again if I had to! What details do you mean after surgery? Pain? I was not in a lot of pain at all! Went back to work (preschool teacher) in a week after surgery, could have gone back sooner but the school was closed for Thanksgiving. BUT everyone is different!!!!!! As fo the amount of weight loss within the first month? Well I lost 11 lbs the 2 weeks of liquid diet before surgery and then about 9 lbs 2 weeks after.(still on liquid diet) Then started on the soft food stage. Not really sure amount of weight loss then. again, EVERYONE is different! Some lose a lot and some are slower! Where are you having your surgery done?
