I bought those small baby plates with 3 sections in them. I also use a baby spoon when I eat now. It helps me to control my portions and take smaller bites!

PB is Productive Burp. I have had a couple of PB's but only when I have forgoten that I'm a Bandster and took to big a bite or didn't chew well.

I can't believe how many things we all have in common!!! --ordering a extra drink at fast food so they didn't think I was going to eat it all--omg I would order a large coke and a small coke. I would have a LARGE pizza delivered to my house (lived alone) and then when they came to the door I would call upstairs to "Jimmy" that the pizza was here! Stop for fast food and then throw wrapers away before I got home. said I wasn't hungry! Tried to open chip bags quietly and get out a handfull quietly! NOT POSSIBLE! Did you notice that when you try to open it slowly and quietly that it is only LOUDER!! Sat in a booth and not breathing. didn't want to ask for table cut off tags on shirts I could go on and on!!! :( this thread has made me feel better, now I know I am not alone!! THANK YOU!!!

I have had mine for several months now. It does put my mind at ease also. Mine says "Gastric Lap-Band, if tubing required must use scope, More info in wallet" on the front it has my first name. with a little red medical emblum. I was told by my brother that is EMS that they don't look in wallets unless told by patient. If you were knocked out then they would not look in wallet. so that is why I put it on by bracelet to look in my wallet where I have all my info and dr. info. I got mine a fiddledeeids.com They were priced really reasonably. I got a child's size that was $20 cheaper and I just make my own bands. I have about 15 I made to match different outfits.

VanGuard Babe here!! First fill was 4 weeks after surgery and was 3cc's I am now at 6cc's and almost 75lbs lighter!! YEA ME!!! Surgery was 11/19/04. Almost 1 year ago! It took 6 fills to feel like I have true restriction.

Ok Tia, I will answer your ?'s From MY experience. But please remember that everyone is different. 1- I don't remember even getting the anesthesia. They gave me a shot in the pre op room and them wheeled me into OR. I remember the nurses putting those fun booties on me and my surgeon talking to me a little and then NOTHING!! The next thing I remember is someone calling my name. I was SO MAD and was thinking that I wish they would hurry up and get this F@$#ing thing over with and then she said "Terri, it's all over!" OH ok. I had no problems with up set tummy or anything. I was just VERY thursty. 2- I don't think that sit-ups can cause slipage? at least after a while. you need to let your tummy heal real good first. I do sit-ups all the time and it is one of the exercises the Dr. gave me to do. As for straining? Maybe, I think again it is fine (in moderation) as long as you have given your tummy time to heal. 3- I can not feel my band or my port. I know that some can feel their ports. But not me. Mine is pretty deep. All surgeons put them in different places and depths. 4- No there are no restrictions put on us. only the ones we experience ourself. Try something and if it doesn't work Don't do it again. Trial and err!! My surgeon said NO POP!! I have tried it and I can't do it so I don't try anymore. But there are some that can and do still drink it. LUCKY THEM!! I miss it!! 5- I don't know the answer to this one. I have a Vanguard 10cc band and am now up to 6cc's. I am now at a VERY good level!! as for your last ?, I have NO IDEA WHAT SO EVER!!!! But it is a very good ?. My band had NO saline in it until 4 weeks after surgery. THERE ARE NO STUPID QUESTIONS ON THIS SITE!!! ASK AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! I may not have the best answers but I am sure between everyone here you will get the answers you seek!! Good Luck!

1. Bread - VERY LITTLE AND TOAST IS BETTER 2. Pasta - VERY SLOW AND CHEWED WELL 3. Pop - NOPE- DR. SAID NO AND NEW STOMACH SAID NO!! 4. Tortillas - YES BOTH KINDS ARE FINE BUT AM CAREFUL 5. salad - I CAN'T SEEM TO TOLERATE LETTUCE 6. Steak HAVEN'T TRIED 7. Roast -A BIG NO!!! 8. Cereal - YES 9. Hamburger - meat AND 1/2 BUN EATEN SLOW AND SMALL BITES 10. pizza - YES BUT I MOSTLY JUST EAT THE TOPINGS AND SOME OF THE SOFTER CRUST. 11. Apples - YES 12. chips - YEA THEY GO DOWN WAY TOO GOOD 13. cheese - YES 14. Shrimp - YUCK, YUCK ,YUCK!!! 15. Pop corn - YES 16. pretzels -OMG NO. GOT ONE STUCK JUST THIS WEEK! OUCH! Since banding I haven't really gone to fast food. If I do I usually just order a chocolate shake and it fills me up. I did eat out a lot when I went to Vegas last month but I had burgers without the bun or 1/2 of it and no fries. I can't do onion rings anylonger. I also had the new chicken fries at BK. They went down ok if I remember i'm a bandster and take small bites!! Remembering I am a bandster is hard sometimes but them my band reminds me. OUCH!!!

I won a radio contest a couple of weeks ago! (Fruit Loop Friday) I got lots of great things like, $50 cash, 4 Diamondback tickets, Lots of household items, tools and these..... They are about 2 1/2 inches long, very hard stainless steel(not bendable), 4 are card symbols(clubs, hearts, etc..) and 4 are other shapes or symbols. I have ask EVERYONE I know, Stopped parents at school and even asked them. No one knows what they are?????? How 'bout you my LBT PALS? Can you help me??????

No they still fall off! I have had to fish them out of my waters all evening! Maybe they fit better on like wine glasses and I don't have any of those. Who knows?

They don't work very good I tried it and they kept falling into my glass,but I attached a pic of them on a glass. J.J. The DJ was laughing his head off about us not knowing what they were!
