    Pms

You could ask you doc about it. Just remember that your hormones are wacky with all the changes in your body, so your cycle is bound to change. If you're anemic, find out from you doc when you can start iron supplements. I was told week five, but every doc is different. The iron will make you feel much better!

I feel for you!! This happened to me 2 weeks out and I thought I might lose my mind for how awful I felt. a heating pad and sleep were my best friends and full sugar popsicles. You should call you doc about what to do for pain though. GOOD LUCK! ((((((hugs))))))

    Plateau

Hi there, my surgery was June 13 and I have been losing and gaining the same .9 lb for 11 days. When I asked about it on here, all I got was "this happens" "it'll pass" "stick to your doctors instructions" Basically, it happens to a lot of people so suck it up, is what I took from it. Apparently it usually passes around 2 weeks. Good luck!

    I hate skinny Beotchs

I think it's more than appropriate

    I hate skinny Beotchs

This all made me laugh until people took it too seriously. yeah yeah yeah don't be hypocritical and all that and don't treat "them" in a way "we don't want to be treated, but the whole serious discourse in this thread pissed me right off. The skinny biatches are not discriminated against every single fricken day in the media and all over. it's not equal or the same on either side of this argument nor is it even within the argument. Someone said on here that they carried their extra weight for 3 years, well this has been a struggle my whole life...not three years. I don't know what it is to be a healthy weight. My mom started me binge/starvation dieting when I was 8. So yeah, when I hear someone who's NEVER walked this path complain, it makes me want to taser them.

    Lost 90 pound

You look fantastic!! Way to go!

    isnt it funny?

I find it interesting that the only people who've said stupid things like "and you're sure that you can't reach your goal with diet and exercise" are people who are over weight, so my response is always "and how's that working for you?" never fails to end the conversation!
  11. I know this is common and I know it gets asked about a lot, but to those of you who went through the 2,3 or 4 week stall, how long did it last? Did you do anything specific to shift out of it, or did it just more on its own? I've been losing and gaining the same pound for 9 days-I will be 4 weeks on Thursday. I've been patient until today...but now I'm annoyed.
  12. I would definitely get your levels checked. I was having that same fatigue problem preop and I turned out to be low iron. 2 days of iron supplement made an unbelievable difference.
  13. It's not just carb detox, it's also fat detox and maybe caffeine?? for me it was all three when I started my preop and I thought I was going to die or kill someone for the first 4 days...Sorry about your grandfather, and hang in there. This is a very important phase, and just remember that every pound you lose now is NEVER coming back on. hugs
  14. oh that sucks! SOrry to hear that... have you had your iron checked? Are you getting enough protein?

    Mental Hunger

It gets better! Stay strong! The first week was the worst for me for sure!
  17. thedivinemsQ

    I give up!

That is a LOT of exercise for 1000 calories. Might need to up the calories by adding more protein. You should definitely be up around 80g more than in the lower and midrange. Keep your carbs in the morning. What kind of working out?

    bowel movements

You can try chia seeds in a smoothy or in a protein shake or in or on whatever. What worked for me was V8 high fiber low sodium veggie drink. Good luck!
  21. Hey everyone. While going through many of the post of people at different stages post op I've noticed that there is a great amount of variation from one doc to the next, so I am curious what your post op protocol was. I am 2 weeks clears, 2 weeks fulls, and 2 weeks soft before solids. Thanks Tracy
  22. thedivinemsQ

    different post op protocols?

Yep, that's exactly why I posted this. I'm totally fascinated my all the variations.

    Bowel movements

Kcolli28 I think you and I are on similar paths we hit onederland same time and I am having the same pooping pattern it seems. How far out from surgery are you? I know I won't start to normalize until I start getting some Protein, but I'm not allowed for another 6 days.
