Dr. Bonnor is great. My hubby is still at the hospital. He shpuld be released on Saturday. He has a feeding tube and drain tube still. If he still has leak Dr. Bonnor will perform a gastrectomy in November.

Dr. Bonner in Katy has been taking care of my Husband. He works at Memorial Hermann Memorial city. He took my husband in after he had a complication from his sleeve in Mexico. What a dedicated meticulous man! I spoke with all the nurses and even anesthesiologists who jave worked with him and they all say the same thing. He is dedicated, very particular about his method, and thorough. I have five kids and am happy to know I have such a doctor working on my husband. Btw...Marvin, Ponce, TLC wouldn't even talk to me when I called to see if they could help my hubby. He was hospitalized for over 51 days...Dr. Bonner was the first to take the time and help.

Be very careful with Jerusalem. You get what you pay for. I got sleeved there. I was okay. Thank God. But then again I am hispanic and kept bugging tuem so they treated me better than others. What is most disturbing is they drug you up with kpins while you're recovering. I was a nursing mother and they gave that crap! Pay the extra cash and go to a better place. My hubby is in the hospital with a leak now in Houston and there are 3 other patients from Mexico surgeries here with complications. Not sure who their doctors were.

I agree woth Iggy. My hubby and I got sleeved the same day by same doctor...in Mexico. I am fine, thank God. He has been hospitalized for 4 months due to a leak caught 2 weeks post op. He developed pneumonia and a fistula. The cause of his leak? Idk...maybe metabolic. A percentage of people have a hard time healing at a certain juncture inside the gastro tract....he was a statistic.

Be weary of the white pills they give you in the Hotel. They are clonopins. I brought my baby and was nursing and they were supposed to give me pain meds that were safe for nursing moms. I trusted the doctor....found out what the pills were once I was in the states. They give you those so you will be knocked out for 8 hrs plus. Also, if you happen to have any complications do not expect ANY cooperation from their end. The doctor didn't even have the decency to call me back when I told them my husband has been hospitalized for over 4 months due to a leak. It wasn't from anything Dr. Almanza did but it still would have been nice to get a post op report for the doctors here....it's definitely go at your own risk.

Hello. I am sorry to hear about your bf troubles. My hubby has been hospitalized since June 3rd for a leak, infection, abcess, and pneumonia. He is now about to get two stents put in after the first one migrated. He has been npo for 90% percent of the time. How is your bf now?

Asalaamu alaikum from Texas! I am 2 months post opt and decided not to fast. My doctor, Muslim, agreed with my decision. I have a hard time drinking and eating as it is. My son is fasting though and I find myself eating nothing until 7 pm anyways. I wish I could just fast from food and not Water :-( Is there a Muslim group on here? I saw a Middle Eastern group but I'm hispanic :-/ Ramadan Kareem!!!

I am eating normal food. But I feel like I'm either not eating the right food or not eating eating enough food. The food that I handle best is soft pasta but there is no protein in that at all. I just wanted to see some samples of what you guys eat through the day. I feel totally lost and am having a hard time trusting my doc's plan bc of what happened to my husband. 22 days in the hospital so far due to leak. I am also terrified that they will find one in me. We got sleeved same day and by same doctor.

Can you guys post a sample menu for the day? I am just hungry. Idk if it is stress. Thank God I feel okay but I am terrified my mistakes will catch up with me. I stalled at week 3 for 10 days. I just don't weigh myself but once every 2 weeks.

I am on solids now but can't tolerate salmon or red meat. I lost only 33 pounds so far. Is that bad? Any tips on fast food with the sleeve. My hubby is in the hospital because his sleeve leaked and I am always on the road. No time to cook or go to a sit down place. Tips?

Nursing is definitely not taking a toll on baby but it is on my body. This is my fifth kid and thank God I have nursed most of my kids past 2 years. One was even nursed when I lived overseas and was even more malnutritioned. But sincerely thanks for your concern regarding that. I think the Water issue is something thing I definitely have to work on. I have an appt. With a bariactric specialist made. I'm gonna find a nutritionist also. Possibly a therapist to helpe deal with food addiction issues which also might be the culprit. Thanks for the wonderful responses. Please send your prayers...positive energy....my way!
