Ummmm I would definitely call the doctor right now! There has to be someone on call. Doesn't look good.... Sorry good luck. Better to be safe than sorry! -
Every office is going to be different but asking any questions you can think of is the best thing. Even if it's an embarrassing one ask it because I'm sure they've heard worse.....lol Also do research on the Internet to come up with questions, maybe about something you don't understand. My office required me to go to 3 pre op bariatric support groups. Very very informational ! You also can ask a ton of questions there too and no one is there judging you. Good luck too you and this wonderful journey!!

You will be able to eat everything in moderation. I was only off work 1 week, but everyone is different. Two weeks is plenty I would think ! -

What you wished you had known before being sleeved?!?!?
septappt replied to butterflypinup's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Drinking 64oz if water. Did it prior to surgery just fine. After, I struggle with that a lot. Also I wish I would of know and heard about jealousy from friends that are currently over weight and are so negative about everything! I agreed that I would text my 2 best friends every Monday the amount of weight I've lost for the week. The one extremely supportive the other not so much. I would text -2 she would text back +5. It gets old after awhile, I realize that she's struggling with her weight, I get that, been there done that. But for once could you not make it about you and maybe give someone else a little credit......phew that's all. Lol -

How do you figure out % of excess weight losy -
I got hiccups a lot at first but that was an indication I was full. Not sure of your fluid intake but sometimes drinking to fast will give you pains.....well for me it does. Just try walking, even if your walking laps in your living room, walk for 5 minutes every hour. Your probably experiencing gas pains. Gas-x strips work wonders ! Good luck to you on this wonderful journey, it's very well worth the hard work and dedication your put in to it.

Thanks! I will be checking this out !!

I went through the same thing. I ended up starting the new job and then taking 1 week off for a "hernia repair". Everything worked out just fine and I'm sure it will for you too.

I'm having a little issue with sweets, I constantly crave them and every once in awhile I give in. Before surgery I NEVER was a sweet eater, I was more of a dip and chips kinda gal. Looking for some advice ?!?! I'm almost six months out and down 84 pounds. HW 280 CW 196

Thank you ! You know I was thinking the same thing about craving more sugar after eating them. Although I guess I would rather eat a quest bar then a whole box of thin mints.....lol. I have upped my protein to 100 a day and started drinking water, which the water part is hard for me.
-
Thanks for responding! Yes I love Quest Bar my favorite is the cookies n cream, I put it in the refrig before hand. I haven't struggled at all until now, I knew it was coming sooner or later. This morning I had to throw out a box of thin mints because they kept calling my name. I'm not going to lie I did have a "sleeve" of them over the course of a week but I couldn't keep them in the house anymore, I should of never got them, but my niece was selling them. Thank god the other ones in my house I don't like lol !

Before/After 158 Pounds GONE! PICS
septappt replied to mom2five's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
You look amazing. Congrats on your success! You look so proud of yourself, as you should be, I'm 25 pounds away from goal, I've already lost 82 can't wait to be at goal ! -
My SAMs has the bigger size, you get 12 of them for $18 and there's 30 grams of protein. Chocolate is good the vanilla on the other hand...not so good Celebrate vitamins has an offer for "free" samples that cost $3.00 they give you some vitamins, pudding mix, and one or two shake samples and they include a $3 coupon off your first order. I liked there vitamins a lot, they didn't have the chalky taste at all. The samples they send is worth the $3.00 in my opinion

Bariatric Advantage and Bariatric Fusion offer sample size packets. Also I know The Vitamin Shoppe has a few. My favorite was from Bariatric Fusion! I'm 5 months out now and have been drinking premier protein (ready to drink) those are the best, I get those at SAMs club!
