I know this is a crappy issue but anyone having dark stool? I had my first bm since the surgery and it seemed soft but fine but today (day3) I had another bm that was dark in color. Any help or knowledge is appreciated. I should also note I started an Iron supplement today.Me too. Very dark.

I'm allowed Clear Liquids the last day before surgery. This can include Water with Mio (or something like it) as long as it is not red or purple, broth, sugar free Jello and Popsicles (same color restrictions), caffeine free coffee or tea. Going to be a long day...

Oh, and I have 14 days of Meal Replacements (5per day) plus other liquids including the sf Popsicles and sf pudding. But everything is sweet. I think that is going to get old REAL quick.

I've already told my family that does not live with me that they may want to avoid me for awhile. BTW, I love Snapped!

I'm sure not everyone is going to be happy with their decision to have surgery. What do each of you respectively regret so much? Especially those who say they researched the procedure for quite awhile and the ability to back out ahead of time. And specifically.

Good luck to all!

I think it depends on the surgeon.

Holy smokes! How much have you lost? So nice to be young.

From what I have heard your hormones are in an uproar after surgery. That could be it.

You don't have to join a gym to exercise. Walk at the park, get resistance bands and exercise at home. I'm like you, I am not going into a gym until I fit in with the "skinnies." My surgeon had me meet with an exercise guy and he gave me a resistance band and plenty of exercises to do at home. I am sure you can find stuff online too. The first step is to get off the couch and move. My "trainer" told me to start with 3 times a week for 20 minutes. Sheez, I can do that. You can too!

just talked with the insurance company. we have a 1000 family deductible to meet then a 90/10 coinsurance up to 500/person 1000/family. so if im correct it should cost us both around 2000 total to get this done together or 5/lb lol still cheaper than a porthouse steak and baked potato!Double heck with your insurance company and find out what your max out of pocket is. There is usually a per person out of pocket max and a family out of pocket max.
For example : my deductible is $1250 and my out of pocket max is $3750. I have to pay my deductible and then the out of pocket max kicks in. Therefore, my actual out of pocket max is $1250 + $3750 = $5000. My bariatric group tells me they don't think I will have to pay all that, but they have to wait to get the pre-approval back from y insurance company to confirm my actual out of pocket.
What a pain.

no' date=' i don't want it done unfairly, everybody should have to do the same requirements with the same insurance company--- well in fairyland I guess that might happen-- I am very fat, and did eat myself up to where i am---(if I had known 50 was the magic number I would have tried harder) - if the rest of you didn't, well you are saints or something-- I'm also old and every month counts -- once i have a date i will be the most pleasant old lady you could find-- it's the waiting that's got me on edge and making my stomach feel like there's a cement fist grinding in there[/quote']I'm not so sure it is the insurance company but the plan adopted by your employer.

Watch the video on you tube. Excellent demonstration as to why you don't drink with meal. I believe it is referenced in the above reply.

That sounds very similar to mine. I start in 13 days. I read that the first three days are the hardest. Getting all the bad stuff out of your system. So, hopefully, you will feel better in a couple of days.

I'm still prop, but I have heard that sometimes the hunger you feel post op could be from acid.

It depends on when your surgeon gets everything turned into your insurance co. and how long it takes them to approve. Everyone is different depending on your insurance company.

On day 4 of my Protein shake only pre op diet. I'm doing well; better than I thought I would. Each time I think about how hard this is' date=' or I get a little grouchy because I love food and I want to eat, I look at a picture of myself I don't like to remind myself why I am doing this. It has helped me a lot!I have had a lot more head hunger than actual hunger and it does get easier as the days go on.[/quote']
That's an excellent idea. I think I am going to put a picture on the fridge. That should motivate me!

If you spread it out over that long a period you never get full. I was told the same thing. To get my meal in in 30 minutes
