Thank you! Yes, and no. I'm starving lol! But that will go away once I have my new tool in place and I start losing weight! I'll be paying for you too! -

5 days,15 hours and 33 minutes left till.my surgery date..nervous but so ready! Pray this next few dates fly by! -
You are welcome, I'm glad to help ease some of your fears. I have a few fears but keeping them in check. I'll let you know next Sunday how my fears are doing then! Lol

Prayers 1slimsistah2! I have horrible sleep apnea. Have had it for 10 years, I have a cpap, but can't stand using it. So I don't. But this isn't stopping my surgery, or stopped any of my other surgeries before. My Dr. and his staff are aware of my sleep apnea and I'm scheduled for the 19th. Good luck!

Yeah, I did Friday night. Eggs topped with lf cheese. Couldn't help it. Was so dragging. But I'm not going to beat myself over it. Back on track and focused. I'm not a big eater, my problem is I don't eat normally and when I do its usually dinner, I don't like to eat by myself, I don't want people to look at me and judge me, so I usually eat with my family in my home. Which is bad, I know because it forces my body to store everything as fat. I still have a week and have committed to finish it out.

What a difference 6 days can make
gia24 replied to gamergirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Awesome post, I'm still pre-op, in the Kew liquid diet phase, surgery the 19th and trying to wrap my mind around everything. I have fear, but it's definitely gotten better. But it's good to see you're doing well after 6 days. Congratulations :-) -
Honestly, I don't own a scale, I pray I'm losing something because it would suck not to, after going through the 2 week liquid pre-op diet, but won't know for sure until I check in on my surgery date.

Yeah, I avoid food commercials, and make myself finish my protein shakes and eat sf jello and sf popsicles. I feel weak but I have 9 days left till surgery. I'm trying to stay focused, I think I need to try almond milk or silk because the lactose is killing me. Just not sure, never tried any of those before not sure if I should just suck it up and stick with the non fat milk. Sigh!

Day 5 of liquid pre-op diet...struggling...head hunger sucks. Been tracking my intake only getting 500 to 650 calories with protein shakes and depending on my eating sf jello or sf popsicles. Going to try chicken broth today, wondering if this is the norm calories pre-op for everyone?

My husband married me as a big girl, and a few times I talked about the WLS and he basically brushed it off, he said he didn't think I'd do it, not because he didn't have faith, but I think he just didn't think I'd actually get approved. I thought long and hard and I have severe sleep apnea, hb, and pcos, and truly need this to get healthy, be around longer for him and our kids, and possibly have a chance to have another baby. So this year I went through the whole process and got my approval a few weeks ago, my surgery is August 19, and he is scared. He thinks I'm going to leave him once I lose my weight. I love him dearly, and I know he loves me, and I'm constantly reassuring him that I'm in love with him and never even thought of leaving. But I wonder why some spouses think that just because we lose weight, we are going to up and leave. Anyone else experiencing this?

Finished up day 3 of liquid pre-op diet. I'm so tired all the time. It sucks. Ugh. Can't wait to my surgery date August 19th. -
Day 2 of liquids. Bleh! 11 more to go. I'm going to have to try silk or almond milk. My poor stomach can't handle the milk, but cheese, cottage cheese and other dairy items aren't so bad, but then again I never drank this much milk ever in my adult life. Bleh. I hope I like almond milk or silk otherwise I'm stuck suffering till my surgery.

Yeah, I haven't slept much in the last two days, I had my pre-op testing today, so had to fast, once I got home I down 2 shakes and crashed, down the other 2 once I woke up and been eating sf jello and sf popsicles A lot to curb my appetite. The only things that bother me is the the food commercials on tv! Lol they suck!
-
Day 1 of liquid diet down. didn't think I could do it. But I did. Been eating jello and popsicles, lol so tomorrow buying apple juice, more jello and popsicles and more instant breakfast. 12 more days of this and then day before surgery only clear liquids! I can do this...But don't want to! Lol
-
That's sucks! I'm so sorry!
-
Pre-op testing is done! Everything is good, it's a definite go for my surgery on the 19th! Now gotta make it through the 2 well liquid diet! I pray I can stomach these shakes. Blah! 14 days to go!

Ugh meant to type mess* lol

I know, it's so very real right now. I'm doing everything I need to for my sleeve. My stomach is a need, but I'm actually feeling calmer than I have in a few days. Everyone here at the hospital had been friendly and super sweet and encouraging, so that helps. Good luck Dee! Keep us posted, and I'll do the same!

Doing my pre-op testing right now at the hospital, and so far already registered for my surgery so don't have to fill anything out that day, blood work and labs done, waiting on respiratory and mri tests, ekg, and endoscopy then can go home to start my liquid diet! Very anxious and my stomach is upset from stress but at least I'll be done with my pre-op stuff and after my 2 week liquid diet, it'll be surgery day!
-
So tomorrow I have a pretty big day. I have my pre-op testing which I have to fast for, which coincides with my first day of pre-op diet. I'm doing the homemade shakes, non fat milk with non fat dry milk and sugar free instant breakfast. Cool right? No problem...yeah except apparently there isn't any place locally I could find no sugar instant breakfast. which means I have to decide if I should choke down the fortified milk without the instant breakfast because of the sugar, or use the instant breakfast that has sugar and risk failing my pre-op diet. Ugh seriously, I'm stressed out and anxious as it is now I don't know what to do about the pre-op stuff. I'm supposed to get 64 grams of protein a day.
-
Yeah, I'm going to have to. Only thing that sucks is Amazon charges 4x the amount of what it costs at the local store. But I'm going to suck it up and order it. I just thought it'd be readily available. I would have planned differently.
