  2. Hello. Can you ladies tell me what the pre-op and post- op diets are for Dr.Kelly and Dr. Lopez. Thanks
  3. Has anyone ever taken a cruise 3 weeks after surgery? My family wants to take one. Only one person knows what I am doing. Not excited about being on a boat but don't to miss valuable time with family members. The alternative would be me being home by myself Has anyone taken a cruise so close post op?
  4. I am ready and financially able to do the surgery in Mexico. My only hold up is I hs e to apply for a passport. I can take up to 2 months. I thought a pass port was necessary to travel into Mexico. My plans are to fly to San Diego and cross over with driver from Doctor. I have seen a few posts on this board that said they used original birth cert and drivers license. Any thoughts?
  5. Hatchery on her way, What is meant by altering your hormones due to surgery. I am not a fan of hormones and my sister has suffered depression after having a baby, still, 4 years later. I am fine, happy and just want to loose weight.

Girlfriday, your post-op diet seems so much more doable. When did you have surgery? How much have you lost? How are you feeling?

To all you ladies, 3 weeks out..... Are you back to work? Life? Ect. That is my biggest concern. I am able and willing to do surgery but I have a sales job and I travel. I am able to take 3 weeks off. Wondering if this will be enough. Working out did I read? You go girl
  8. That after being on the pre-op diet for a fees days that "I got this" and think oh I may not need surgery. I am really dieting. Thanks
  9. Thank you so much for responding. You are all correct. The pre-op diet is tough. I am Suprised I have lasted 3 days. I know myself and could never to stick to any diet My true only concern ( other than the risk of complications) is returning to work. I work in sales ( commission only) and travel for work. I am so concerned about being okay to be my best at work. I am able to give myself 3 weeks off. How did y'all feel after 3 weeks.

Good morning! Can you have coffee on the pre-op diet?
  11. Does anyone know if muscle milk is aloud on the pre-op and post-op diet. I will not have time to make a shake. I tried today. Pretty good
  12. I am sooo excited about having this surgery. Going to Mexico and my only fear is this pre-op diet. First, if I was diciplined enough to drink Protein shakes I would not be in need if surgery. Second, I am not a fan of powder shakes. I actually like body by vi with fruit ect but from What I have read on here it is not aloud. I Also travel for work and will not really have access to Blender. Can anyone suggest ready made pre-op Shakes that meat the requirements and are good? Thanks

  14. I am still researching doctors in Mexico. I self pay and my only option. Cancan would be the most ideal but everyone on here seem to like the Doctors in Tijuana. I am tring to see if I should go alone. My mom said she would go but I hate to put her through this. Is alone okay??? What ate the added expenses if I Did bring someone.
  15. Maybaby, 13 days out. Congrats. Have you been Able to return to work? If you work that is.

  20. Hi everyone. What does Dr. Kelly charge? How long did it take everyone to get back to work? Thanks
  21. I have also heard many mention hernia and it being removed. I have the tubular buldge below my rib cage that runs from right front side to back. It is not fat. Lol. It almost feels like a bulging muscle. No pain just others me. Could thus be a hernia?

    Hernia

Thank you for the response. I have no idea if I have one. I just have the tubular thing below rib cage. No digestion issues. I do not have insurance so was going to Mexico for my surgery. Could they do both at same time.
  23. I have read that there is open surgery and laser. Which is most common. I read people on her talking about bandages. Drains. How big is scar and where is it? Thanks
  24. Hello, I am Hoping to have the sleeve done by July. May I ask the importance of all the protein? I think it is great how all of you are eating regular meals. When we're you able to do so? Is there any foods or drinks that are just plain off limits?
  25. I know all people are different but I wanted to have an idea of when I could return to work after having the sleeve surgery. I am 44. 5'6 289 lbs but actually very healthy otherwise. I travel for work and am wondering what my realistic expectations could be. Thanks
