hi everyone i got banded on the 30th of july in mexico by dr. huacuz. i have a question about taking out the stitches. i don`t want to becuase they hurt and don`t know how. can someone tell me how to get them out with less pain as possible.

hi everyone i got banded on july 30th in mexico bt dr. huacuz. i feel great and have healed very well. the only thing i lost is inches but no weight. that is because i had no menu and didn`t know i need to eat protein to lose. dont get me wrong i had a menu but i have two different ones and i really didn`t know what i could have. all i knew was i was hungry. having suregery is great in mexico but when you come home you are on your own. i am on protein shakes now and will do mushies maybe my third week because i messed up terrible after my 11th day. any support will be appreciated. congragulations to all july banisters we are doin it. woohoo.:help::help::help::clap2::clap2::clap2::clap2:

hi everyone i am 12 days post-op and my weight flectuates. i only lost 6 pounds if that much. i get discouraged sometimes reading how others lost somuch so soon and ask myself, why couldn1t it be me. i also find myself to be hungry but if you drink thicker items, such as v-8 or smoothies you`ll be full. with my luck it will be a year until it comes off. 236-238 current 150 goal

hi everyone i am so dissapointed. of course it would happen to me because i have had bad luck most of my life. i only lost 3 pounds and i am so discourage and upset. i lost some inches but no weight so what am i doin wrong. i spent so much money and was so lookin forward to the scale sayinat least 10 pounds for first week. i read other peoples threads and they lost plenty an had surgery same day. what am i doin wrong guys please help. i hardly eat anything adn someties feel hungry.what can i do.:think:think:think:think:think:think:think:faint::faint::faint::faint::help::help::help::help::help:

thanks all to responding i feel a little better but sometimes its odd how things work for different people and before you get banded you have convinced yourself that you wll be one of the people to loose a lot of weight in a little time but it doesn`t work like that. i will allow myself to heal and i am looking forward to eating. i am hungry want to make a smoothie but i hate to go out. dr. said i can have ensure or anything liquidfyable so please if tips they are more then welcome. i will hang on thanks to all you great lapbanders. i luv everyone thanks for supporting me.

wow your right its just hat when you read others threads and see the weight lost you can only began to wonder. i just frrl so discouraged. maybe thats why i havent lost too due to the amount of stress. i know everyone is different but why couldnt i be different in a good way. i also had my mind set on losin quickly but i must forgot about my luck.

i had surgery on 7/30 but i am now experiencing pains in my shoulder down to my arm. i also haven`t lost any weight just inches. what am i doin wrong. i will stat walking tomorrow and drinking more water but the pain is so bad. please anyone have you had the same pain, will it go away, and is it normal? :help::help::help::help::help:

hi congrulations and happy banding. i was also banded on monday. i am sore but i feel great and ready to go on the road to weight loss. i have five places for stitches. how can i keep them from getting infected.

hi every one i`m gettin banded the 30th of july and don`t have the support or help from my husband. I will also be traveling alone do i need to be concerned about going to Mexico and the doctor that is doin it which is Dr. Huazac. Any advice or pointers will help dramatically. i`m also scared that i will not be able to stick to the pre-op liquid diet. any advice is appreciated:help::phanvan

I get banded the 30th of july and scared. shacking in my boots and scared of traveling alone. I need to to how you feel and the outcome. I have read things about the pre-op and I still don`t know what to do. Dr.s office e-mailed me to drink clear liquids then she said I can drink ensure. that`s not clear. Maybe I`m just nervous and axiety is kicking in. I don`t know what to even bring. help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am chickening out can I get some motivation and positive feed back. I`m ready for a change but do I have to go all the way to Mexico for it. My Dr. is Huazuc. Someone please reply help is very much needed before I consider canceling. :help: :faint::car:

ok i will not cheat and my surgery is on Monday the 30th. i`ll continue to stick with my soup and crystL LIGHT.ensure which i was drinking to many. this is hard but it is a done deal.

I am 3days pre-op and i want to eat. i still have4 weeks before i can eat. would it be a terrible thing to cheat.

Yes I am goin to mexico and dr. hauzuc is my surgeon. I heard nothin but good things about him and i have tlked to him several times. are you, can you sleep, are you hungry, and do the scars look bad. im so excited but i am no worried about lose skin. I don`t know how much i weight yet but the last time it was 239. i am about 5 7 and i want to get to 145. will i need surgery for the loose fat.

No that doesn`t because that`s what i have been doin is prayin that i`m making the right decision and lord to see me through. thanks for the words of encouragement. i can`t believe how time is flying. my family members seem to be gettin more and more skeptical as time goes by so am I. my children are wondering where i am goin and what i am doin when i get there. its scary because people today are so mean and we as people have a hard time sticking together. if it is meant for me then consider it done. I am rady for the change in my life and if it means going to tijuana, then tijuana here i come.

thank you for respondin and i know and pray that we will do just fine. dr.s will not take you unless they have banded you and they especially won`t take you if your goin to mexico. good luck you`ll do well. we are on the raod to success but the road is just a little bumpy right now.

<p><p>Thanks again everyone and for the record my husband works so much he knows not too much of what i do. he has heard me mention it but he probably didn`t think i was serous. anyway my first day pre-op not hungry just tired of using the bathroom. i have another question. How can you pm someone what does theat mean Becca because i would love too talk. I hope to do well because i am really looking forward to bein myself again. also how can i get opti-fast i would love to have it if it is good. this is a major step inmy life i just pray that it works out for the best.Please keep the support coming because i sure need it.</p></p>

Thank you for responding sometimes I post things and takes forever for someone to reply. I feel a little better that someone cares because I absolutely have no support from home. Your web sites are very useful. My liquid stage will be hard but i have faith that all things are possible through him that I will make it.

don`t worry and what is a opti-fast. just let them know that you ate and it can`t be all that bad b/c some dr. don`t require you to do a pre-op. just pray if it was easy you wouldn`t need the band. you`ll be ok

i get banded the 30th by dr. huacuz. My husband gives me no support so i`m doin it for me and you should do the same. i want to be fat free

were you that sore from the surgery. or was this somethin else. you are doin great and good luck on your road to change

wow that is so motivational i will start my pre-op on tomorrow i think i don`t have to start to the 25th. i am so scared yet excited. i have been big all my life and i love to walk. i will walk an our or two 4 to 5times a week. i gained more weight since i new i was gettin surgery a little depressed b/c my husband will not support me. i`m glad you send me such a motivational message. did you do a 5 day pre-op as well.

congragulations i hope all works out well and you will lose that 40 pounds i go to mexico on the 30th of this month and i am scared but excited the life style change is dramatic but i had a chance to do it and couldn`t control my eating. much success
