Restriction. I've started to eat refried beans and egg salad and I can feel the restriction.

I can feel it moving thru and I have a satisfied sensation. Before with puréed it would just go thru and I would just stop since I measure it.

I so agree. I'm the bubbly kind of girl. Don't like ugly souls. -

I so agree. Of course I'm crying like a baby. People think this is an easy or doable journey with or without surgery. It's not. I have a hard time with mean people. Gotta butch up. -

May 22nd sleevers ..
Alyjourneys replied to kristyyy21's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I'm down 14 lbs. I'm guessing I'm in the slow loser category. I am losing inches. I wish I could lose just tad faster but grateful. My hardest is mental. Trying to reassure myself that the sleeve will work and I will not fail. -

I think we went in the same day. I feel you. I think in our first month or so, the mental aspect of this journey is the hardest. Kudos on your WL! -
Food you ate after only 2 wks post op. did anyone eat more because you felt you could? I'm so curious as to why some feel such restriction and others don't.

What was the worst
Alyjourneys replied to Alyjourneys's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks. I know it's mental. Also since I'm really just having puréed good I'm being hard on myself as to why I don't feel it. I've been keeping track to be accountable and it works. I don't over do it especially since I'm scared of doing something wrong to my new tummy. I look fwd to getting past the insecurities. -

Question for all the "Oh my god, what have I done?" people...
Alyjourneys replied to HatheryOnHerWay's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Misty, I'm fairly new to the forum but I've noticed what you said is true. What surprises me is the lack of serious research. I went to support groups and looked up the good and the bad. One can't be guaranteed anything in life, but you can be prepared. -

There is nothing wrong with those who don't question what they just did. There is a reason why insurance companies have certain req including psy evaluations. This is NOT an easy way out nor a simple process. You have to work at it. Some have it tougher than others but given time, any issues will pass. Granted there are exceptions. For those who are pre sleevers, do good research and ensure you are mentally ready. Surround yourself with a good support system. Ultimately if you go for it, best of luck. Remember that no one forced you to do this. You did. Ps some of are very happy with our choice.
