15 months post op (PICS)
Alyjourneys replied to O.T.R. sleever's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Kudos. You def inspired me. I've been going to the gym 5 x a times a wk. I'm a slow loser compared to others but that us fine. I've incorporated strength training twice a week and its working. My arms are the worse but something is something. Obviously I don't want arms like you, but bring inspiration. No pain no gain. Ps single serving are a great idea. -

Twisted/flip-flopped sleeves
Alyjourneys replied to ctsleeve's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Never heard of this. Not even in the orientation or Pre op class I was required to take. They talked about leaks but not this. It must not be really common on a sleeve. Now on a by pass I've heard of the instetin getting twisted. -
For the first time I had BM issues due to the high Iron pills. My friend suggested this tea that she uses once a day. Natural and amazing results. I bought a box for $2.25.

Fecal Impaction... tmi... HELP!
Alyjourneys replied to CouchToHealthy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This is awesome. I only use it once every 3 days. Don't use more than recommended. This is a natural laxative. I use it the day after my Iron pill -
Miracle tea and taste awesome
Alyjourneys replied to Alyjourneys's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I looked it up and it does have Senna. Senna is an herb FDA approved to be used in laxatives. Makes sense. I agree with you Looseitsoon. I don't think it should be used daily. Actually I have no intentions of using but once a week right after my Iron pill day. I didn't have cramps, it was a normsl BM and felt really good afterwards since I felt that nothing was left behind. Lol. -

Alyjourneys replied to Alyjourneys's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm only using once every 3 days. It really last a long time or so appears and no cramping. I don't drink it daily since I don't need it. Once every 3 days goes far. Better than OT stool products -
I'm at 3 months and going thru the same. I read online that usually last about 3-4 months and then grows back.

Divorce rate..post op
Alyjourneys replied to Mrs.FullerRN's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I really think people need to read things a little better before getting all insulted. In addition to not knowing the tone something is being written in, we are all entitled to think what we want. Opinions are just that, opinions. Feel what you want. Do what you want. It's your life!!! But pls, if you post on here, remember you are opening the door to replies that you may not agree with. It's an open forum. It is what it is!!! -

What am i doing wrong?
Alyjourneys replied to brandy88's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The PT at my gym says that you need to trick your body. You need to shock it with a few more calories and change your exercise routine. Otherwise your body gets use to it. I'm 12 weeks po and it seems to be working for me. I'm down 40 lbs and over 20 inches. Steady weight loss -
Fecal Impaction... tmi... HELP!
Alyjourneys replied to CouchToHealthy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Wow. I'm so thankful that my body is so regular that I go at the same time everyday. I'm so sorry for your discomfort. Pls be careful since impaction can do some real harm if not treated in a timely fashion. I wouldn't be waiting. -
Weight has slightly creeped up, whats up?
Alyjourneys replied to robocop12's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I would eliminate the drink. If you must have it, get a small skinny one. Are you exercising? I stay under 800 calories. -

You've already checked out of this relationship and it appears you are trying to blame him to justify your already decided mind. Btw 170 on a 5'10 man is not fat. Do him the favor and leave him so he can be with someone that will love him for him. Also, take your time in your next relationship before having another kid. They are the ones who suffer. -
As of my 2nd week, I've been working out at least 5 times a week. If you don't make changes, you may lose the weight but maybe not your old habits that got you there and get you back to square one. I've learned that you have to change your mindset. JMHO

The hair loss will occur regardless of what you take. I wanted to buy Rogaine but their site has a FAQ section that explains the two types of hair loss. Genetic and from weight loss. It states that if your hair loss is from weight loss, you simply have to go with its course. They also explain how it will grow back. Unfortunately for me, I've always had thin hair, so losing all the hair I'm losing is depressing. I take all my vitamins. Biotin and use shampoos/serum with biotin, but has helped little. I'm thinking of buying the Rogaine anyways but not really sure yet. Best of luck.
