I am having a difficult time not wanting to at least taste everything I see on tv or that the people are eating in my house. I did really well with my preop diet but my mentality had me in tears because I feel so left out at meal time. I'll be one week post op May 27 and I wanna eat. What helped you when you felt weak?

I've got some sugar free popsicles too as for being busy around the house, I've got people who have to do that. I'm so busy at work that I'm trying to relax until I go back next week. Thanks

Great analogy, I must be a glutton for punishment! I'm really trying, but I'm sure it's going to get harder before it gets easier.

Great picture, what did you use to hide you surgical scars?

I haven't slept all week! My surgery is less than 12 hours away and my stomach is in knots. I have no idea what to expect after I wake up from surgery but I know this is what I've been wanting for quite some time now. I am so anxious, what did you do to pass the time preop?

It's funny you should say Xanax cause I popped them and I just used my night time scrub provided by the hospital and I'm in bed watching tv waiting on them to kick in. I recorded a new series called North America on the discovery Channel and I'm beginning to mellow out.

Interesting I know my insurance company has already approved 2 days since I'm having a hernia repair also. I work at the facility where I'm having my procedure so that makes me even more anxious. I should be scrubbing with my antibacterial wash for bed but I'm wide awake. I haven't slept in 36 hours. Anxiety is real!

I'm in Houston and I originally had to hear several negative things about the surgery. I get tired of explaining the procedure as if I haven't done the research. I have friends and family in Chicago and I'm actually going to miss my teenage daughter go on senior prom due to my schedule conflict so I can't make it back home or I'm afraid to fly so early. I'm gonna attend via video chat but this also adds to my anxiety

Hello everyone I'm new here as well as new to the state of Texas and I'm having my gastric sleeve done Monday May 20th. I actually work at the facility where I'm having my procedure. I'm a nurse so I advise patients everyday but here I am on the other side of things and I'm afraid. I've watched several videos posted online by people preop and they have a support system right there I don't so it's getting very real. I'm praying things go well I just need to be a patient and not a nurse for once.

Thanks, I just wish I had family here. Have you watched any videos posted from anyone preop? They make me very tearful but they also seem to help.

I'm going on Monday the 20th, my coworker went on the 1st and she's been a big help. I wish you all the best
