Hi Kelli and Cate, My sister and I are being banded July 24 too! Welcome to the thread. Lynette & Chimboree Thanks for remembering. Hello Lucky 7's I miss a day on here and it take two to catch up with you all. Its been one *&^% of a week around here. My truck is still broke, my motorcycle broke too. My 13 year old collie had a major stroke and I had to have her put down. Could not leave her here with the kids and me gone for days. Not fare to her or them, but it broke my heart. Ok enough of the bad.. on the other hand I got the job I applied for and enterviewed for this week at OSU. Big pay raise from what I was making at the public school so I will be able to buy a new car if they don't get my truck fixed. And best of all I fly out at 8am Monday morning and have pre-op test tommorrow and get banded on Tuesday!!! I am so ready to get out of here and get this started! Good luck to everyone having it done this week. I'll be praying for all of us!

Yes, I found them. I only voted on the spouse one. I really don't care where we go. I've never been on a cruise so any where will be fine. I do have a passport and would love the chance to use it. At this point I would be happy to just get out of town! I've been working on this computer for days trying to get caught up on the books for my plumbing company. Never put off what you can do today. Tommorow may not come and if it does the pile of *&^% will just be higher! Hope everybody has a great day.

Needles Hwy is awsome! The whole trip was great! I'm really envious of everybody going this year. Looks like I won't be going anywhere for awhile. Ck engine light came on when I fired her up this weekend. She's not firing on the back cylinder so to the shop she goes! To top that off my truck broke down yesterday and the only wheels I have right now is my daughters 250. Get me around town but not good for the hwy. And all this when the rain finally stops. Well I've whined enough. Better get to bed. Take care everybody>

Did you check out the Lucky 7 thread? There is a calender posted with everybody in July that has posted there. How are you doing?

I voted to bring my DH, but I don't know if he'd take off work to go or not. I know it will be fun weather he is there or not!

Hi DIni, I'm still up, cleaning house. When I realised I only have one week left to get it done before surgery and I start a new job the week after surgery I decided I had better kick it in high gear! I feel like I'm having the new Mom nesting thing going on. Plus I'm trying to stay busy and out of the kitchen!

I am very excited about having her along for the journey! She on the other hand is worried that I will get to competitive about our weight loss. So I'm going to have to watch it. I do get very motived when she is losing and I'm not. She's afraid I'll be mad if she looses faster. I don't get mad I just work harder. I just never wanted to be the only fat sister, she said she has always been the fat sister so it doesn't matter to her. I can hardly wait till neither of us is fat anymore!

I have been trying to quit for almost a month. Some days I do good others I want to bite someones head off. I set a new quit totally date of Monday. I am going to get one of those things you breath in to after surgery and start doing some deep breathing exercise and try to get my lungs cleared out. They want you to quit because you will heal faster. I quit last year before surgery and was glad. Coughing when your gut hurts is no fun. Good luck. Thanks Lynette, about the water, I think I read some where that I have to sip the water too. How much can you all drink at once. I usually drink 3-4 32oz cups a day. Is it going to be hard to get all that in? Thanks laurend. That is really cool! Thanks chimboree! It sure makes it eaiser. Thanks for doing the calander. My date is listed wrong, My sister Debbie and I are having our surgery on the 24th. I have been raving about this site to her, hopefully she will come check it out for herself soon.

Thanks Lynette, I'm glad to know that and that you are doing so well. What is this stuff about being bloated after surgery? I am starting a new job on the 1st and have to wear dress clothes. I was hoping to be fitting in to some that are tight on me now. How long does the swelling last?

I'm so glad to hear form all of you today. Seems like lots of people are riding these days. I'd call you all by name but I haven't figured out how to get mini quotes in here and I'm to lazy to go back after reading alllll these pages to find you. How do you all keep up with who said what? Thanks everyone for being so supportive about my pre-op diet. I got up this moring and decided to start just liquids again. I was only required to lose 10 lb's(which I still have to lose thanks to my fall) and had a choice of 2 weeks with 2 shakes a day and small dinner or 1 week all liquids. So its a good thing I still have time to do the liquid phase. I told my sister about this site, she will be signing up later today. We were talking this morning about diet drinks and she had not heard that we are not to have anything with carbonation in it, You all have been amazingly informative! I feel like I have learned more on here than any place else I've been readin. Question: How long will it be before I can bend over with out pain? My surgery is the 24 and I have to coach motocycle classes on the 11th, I will be on my feet for 2 very long days and have to bend over all day long picking up cones. Will I be able to do it or should I find a sub?

Hi all you fellow BIKERS! The sun in shining in OKla. today! Got on my bike last night and a check engine light came on, bummer! no riding for me today. Have to get my brother inlaw down here and see if its something we can fix or if my babee is going to the shop. Counting down till I get banded. Starting over on pre-op diet today. Nothing but liquids now. Good thing though cause I can't seem to control my self once I put soild foods in. Man do I need this band to stop this cycle. LOL Hope you all are having a great weekend. Question: I'm being banded on the July 24th and starting a new desk job on the 1st. I was supposed to coach motocycle classes on the 28th. Told them I would'nt be able to handle all the walking on the range and bending over all day. I'm supposed to work again on the 11th. Do you think I will be up to it by then? Right now it wears me out and takes me a couple days to recover as it is. How soon can you bend over with out pain?

Hi everybody, you all have been busy on here! Introduction: I am 47 years old. My husband Dwayne and I have been together for most of the last 28 years (thats another story) We have three beautiful kids, our oldest son Adrian is 19, back home again after a short stint on his own. our daughter Aurora, 17, is the preformer in the family. Keeps me running. Our youngest is Austin. He is 13. My baby! We live in Perkins Okla. just south of Stillwater. OSU country. We have a plumbing bussiness, I have driven a school bus for the last few years. I also teach motorcycle saftey classes and ride my Harley Roadking, (thats my fun job!) When I have free time I like to make stain class projects. Don't really have much time for that with all the teenagers hanging out at the house. I'm Mom to about 6 extra kids! I had great news today! My sister's loan came through and she is going to be banded the same day I am. I'm really excited about the 2 of us getting to start this together. Pre-op diet sucks. I have been failing terribly. Looks like now I'm going to have to do 1 week of nothing but liquids since I have been eating like there is no tomorrow! I am so ready for this to be over! I have no self control..... anyway I'll quit rambling on and go back to reading. Take care everybody.

Marcy, I found EAS whey protien at SAM's Wholesale for $25 for a 6 lb bag. Lots cheeper than GNC. I don't know if you have access to one but I think you can order online.

Welcome macacoza, I agree life is grand on a bike! I ride a 97 RoadKing. I love it! There is just nothing better than feeling the wind in my face..and the sound of rolling thunder! I can sing all I want and no one can tell I'm off key. LOL! Come back and tell us more about life on a bike with the band. How much have you lost? are you at your goal? I'm being banded in 2 weeks. I have a treadclimber. Right now it is just gathering dust. If I had it to do over again I would buy an eliptical. I will use it again when I have the energy and my feet and knees don't hurt so bad...maybe 20lbs from now.

Wow, You all have been busy today! By the time I finished reading all your post it 12:30 am and you are probally all in bed. So when you get up and on here again add my name to the cruise list. And his twin brother was there on a cruise at the same time. The pics are awsome. would love to go take my own! I'm glad to see all you newly banded Lucky #7 are doing so well! I can hardly wait till my turn! I'll be praying for all of you having it done in the next few days. Well today was my 2nd day of my pre-op diet. I didn't do so well. Poor planing on my part. I was so hungry that I ate some nuts I had in the car, and then stopped and bought some egg drop soup and chicken. Got home late and made myself a protien shake. Froze it and pretended it was icecream. It's a good thing I have 2 weeks left to lose the weight the Dr. wants me to lose cause I'm sure not takeing it off very fast at this rate. On last thing before I sigh off and go to bed..... What are bathroom tongs???? Goodnite all and God bless the Lucky #7's
