When will i start to feel ok?

I actually felt like a million buck yesterday and today. I'm on one week post op and already made a trip to walk at Disneyland. I made it. I feel like I should be wiped out but I'm taking the vitamins and meds the dr advised and am keeping up my fluid intake. Good luck to everyone feeling better xoxo

When will i start to feel ok?

I also wonder if I'm supposed to be taking mylanta or something all morning I hear gurgling noises coming from my stomach going up and down. What the heck is that? I did nog get much protein in yesterday as it grossed me out with water. I'm gonna try taking it with 1% milk today. Any suggestions would be appreciated. #day6problems lol

    Kaiser Wls Patients

I have Kaiser and just had surgery at Saint Bernardines in San Bernardino on 12/12/13. Went through the options program in Fontana. My experience was cool I knew I didn't really want to do the surgery right away so I didn't really start losing any weight until 1 month pre op. I lost 10 pounds. Some people lose more. I think it's up to you. From what I know the more you lose the better it is for you over all. But if you are barely making the weight goal possibly once you complete the classes going through Riverside you might not need the surgery. Some people do really well and don't end up having it. Good luck. Sorry...Not very helpful just more so what I did.
  6. Good luck I'm waiting for my pain to subside as well --- same dec 12 surg date and hospital release date as you?!Cool. Yeah pain is better I'm just trying to get used to the meds and adding the Protein and all the fluids. Pre surgery it seemed like it was gonna be easy. But it really is a full time job to take in all the fluids and meds and protein. For the record I really feel like telling everyone that thinks surgery is an easy way out...it's not!! Lol

When will i start to feel ok?

I am also from 12/12- I'm just focusing on getting my liquid intake and I keep moving around. Because when I stay lying down and switch to get up my stomach pulls and it hurts. Does anyone else have that. I can't even sit up straight. boo.

    I had surgery on Thursday

Thank you ladies I guess it doesn't help misplacing my options book with all the info regarding the post op dieting. I'm relying on what they have me yesterday and the post op folder. I think I do have to find somewhere better to sleep. I did def get better sleep then the hospital though.
  9. Hello all. I had surgery on 12/12/13. I was very scared and in pain. I think it had more to do with the being put under part. Still have pain. Glad I did it. Just wondering when the pain subsides I'm trying to not take the pain meds. I came home yesterday.
  10. I was just wondering if anyone knew when I should be able to sleep on my side. I was able to come home yesterday. I'm still struggling holding my liquids down and with pain of course. I'm assuming this will be my norm. Just trying to make myself be able to sleep better as I'm waking up with a still neck .
