I am a 38 year old women who has allowed my weight to spiral out of control. Up until age 33 I weighed around 135-140lbs. Never had a weight problem my whole life. I was always the pretty little princess that could have any guy I wanted and never had a problem landing good jobs. I was the poster child for the perfect women that executives wanted representing their company. My life took a turn for the worse when I moved from new York to Texas. I've never seen so much fried food and Mexican food in my life. Back in new York I ate a lot of Mediterranean food which was very healthy. I had a great job as a human resource manager at a really good company. I came to Texas to live here permanently in 2007 and it all went downhill from there. Despite finding and marrying the man of my dreams, I was laid off by every job I had since 2007. In 2009 I was working as an hr manager for a company in Victoria tx which closed down, so my husband moved us to Dallas tx. There I was unemployed with no success in finding another comparable job in a town I knew nothing about. No friends or family near me at all. For a whole year I sat in my apartment while my husband worked and ate from the time I woke up til bedtime. Ordering pizzas and wings and termisu daily. I got up to 300lbs. I couldn't believe what I had become and naturally became severly depressed. In 2010 I got a job at a big women's clothing store because the corporate world didn't want me. From 2010 til present I have struggled to lose weight, however did get down to 245 from 300lbs, but Im still very overweight. I decided to have the gastric sleeve with the support of my family so this is the beginning of my weight loss journey. My goals are to lose the weight and restore my health and energy and get my career back. I have so much to offer but in this world we live in folks don't like fat....my surgery is in 4 days and I'm very scared and excited at the same time.......
