My dad said absolutely NO when I first brought it to his attention. But I didn't give up I showed him my research and like within a month of constant tears and arguments lol he finally said yes! I'm having mine in puerta Vallarta to make him feel better, he didnt think Tj was a good place to go. So now I am two days away from my surgery I'll keep you posted. I started a YouTube page aswell I'll be blogging while I'm there I'll show the hospital and all that good stuff! These doctors are good trust me, some of the best doctors are Mexico. It's not like they train in tents or something they to go to universities some even study in the US before they go back to their roots! Do research on the doctors their is also ppl on YouTube who blog about their experiences and good luck hope your parents understand that this is life changing and for the better!

I'm in Mexico as we speak and I put my AT&T iPhone on airplane mode and I connected to wifi. I also downloaded an app called "text plus" and it gives you a number so you can text your friends without it being international. If they download it you can even call them for free. But I just use Skype for that. Also if you have an iPhone you can still text from text message ONLY if the other person has iPhone as well. You will know because on the bottom of the text message where you type it will say "iMessage" I don't recommend you use your phone from its data my dad did that in Mexico for 2 weeks and paid 800 dollars! Not worth it trust me. If you want to avoid all that try my tips.

So I started my pre-op diet today. It consist of 1 Protein shake for Breakfast 1 for lunch And a small portion salad with chicken or fish or egg with a small amount of ranch or low fat ranch or olive oil. So far I threw up the first Protein Shake, I didn't think much of it so I continued to do exercise and then for lunch I had my protein shake again.. And threw up. I'm not sure what's going on. I haven't had my salad yet but I am dying to eat ! I emailed my coordinator but he has yet to email me. Does anyone recommend anything also should I add I am in Mexico for me pre op diet staying with my aunt. So this was the only protein shake I could find I didn't have any options. I know some people take brothes and or some people eat. Low carb meals? Do you think it'll be an issue? Please can anyone give me any advice ?

Hi guys, So I spoke to one of my aunts and she is going to accompany me to have my Gastric Sleeve done in Mexico Since she stays out there. Im now looking for any Surgeons recommended In puerta vallarta. I also dont mind a Surgeon In Guadalajara or Monterrey. My father doesnt feel its safe if I get the surgery In Mexicali. Tijuana, Or Piedras Negras. So those are out of the Question. So far I been looking at Dr. alejandro lopez In puerta Vallarta, Anyone else had him? Or any recommendations? Also Id like to stay around the price range of $5,000 to 6,000 Any help would be gladly appreciated. If you have a website for them and numbers also thank you all so much! Hi, Well Ive been doing alot of research over the passed year about gastric Sleeve. Im so ready but the problem now is finding the right doctor for me. I started off with a consultation at the Nicholson Clinic In dallas texas. But, Im a self pay patient. So now Im considering my Options In Mexico. So far the Lowest price was with Dr. Alvarez In Tijuana Baja California. I could not simply convince my dad for the life of me, he says its dangerous and that he doesnt want to play with my life. However He considered anywhere In guadalajara Mexico. So I did my research and I found a Dr. Named Castaneda. He has alot of great Reviews. has anyone ever used him? whats the pricing like. Btw the reason I didnt have the surgery in the states is because I simply canot afford 12,000 Dollars ;( Im at a crossroads and I want to change my life now.. Im sick of looking at myself in the mirror. At just 5'1 326 Pounds im only 22 and have been obese my whole life.. Id appreciate in help.. Im also new here.
