Saving Money?
Margie122 replied to becomingmandikaye's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I am definitely saving money because I am eating out less and bringing my lunch to work. I'm also not buying coffee, muffins, etc. I estimate that by bringing my lunch to work alone and not going to Dunkin Donuts or Starbucks I'm saving about $50 a week. I probably went out to dinner and/or lunch at least 1x sometimes 2x a week...I've probably averaged 1-2x a month since surgery. -
Good luck with your appointment on Monday

@@proudgrammy how are you doing today? I survived day 1 I am not going to be so cocky as to say "I've got this" but I am happy with how things are going so far. I stepped on the scale this morning and it did go down slightly. I am determined to NOT get on the scale again until Monday morning. If I can do the 5 days of liquids and not weigh myself until Monday morning I'm going to buy myself the long sleeved Life is Good shamrock t-shirt I've been eyeballing for a while now Here's to day 2 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -

Proudgrammy.....CONFIDENCE! We got it Good luck to us all. I'm hoping that at the end of the 5 days the scale has moved DOWN. P.S. - I am now eating about 3oz of tomato Soup at my desk. It's the MOST DELICIOUS thing I have ever tasted. -

I made it to the afternoon without killing anyone. I consider that a win on day 1. Now I just have to survive TONIGHT. Instead of watching TV where I usually like to snack snack snack, I will turn on my treadmill and walk walk walk. -

Looked up this thread the other day because my weight has been stuck between 191 and 195 for months. I let sneaky carbs back into my life and they have caused enough havoc. Today is day 1 of liquids I'm determined to do this! -

Anyone have back pain in one side after surgery?
Margie122 posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hi, Has anyone had back pain after surgery that gets better when you lie down? My mom had surgery on 3/21 and is having terrible pain in her left lower back that gets better when she lies down. I'm waiting for a call back from the surgeon but I figured I'd ask the boards if anyone experienced this. The pain has been coming/going for over a week. THanks -
Congratulations! I'm sure you feel great. Awesome accomplishment.

@@crazygoose glad you are doing well! I'm glad your mom was able to drive you and that your grandpa was nice to you. Sometimes people say things they don't mean...hope that was the case with your grandpa. I'm sure he will be happy for you once you start losing weight and feeling better. -

Barry that bread sounds pretty good. I am trying to limit carbs, but I occasionally have bread and this sounds like a good one. If you can handle the bread - then good on ya! -

good luck with your plastic surgery I am sure it will go well. I am hoping to have it done next year (?) so I am following this post with interest to get tips and find out what works/doesn't work. Here's hoping your surgery is as pain free as possible! -
Hi, The uncrustables have 28g of carbs and contain dextrose, sugar, molasses, high fructose corn syrup and corn syrup. I would lose them as a lunch fast.

She saw the doctor and the surgeon feels the pain is coming from her stitches. Nothing major and it should go away on its own -

If anyone has a Penzey's Spice near them they are the best. They have a booming catalog business. Try "Ruth Ann's Muskego Avenue" spice. IT WILL ROCK YOUR WORLD ON BAKED chicken. LIKE SERIOUSLY MIND BLOWING. I CAN'T SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THIS SPICE. I CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT IT. I'M REALLY MOT KIDDING. -
i just ate 1 jar of peanut butter!
Margie122 replied to ProudGrammy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I sometimes feel like I could....but I know I can't. I even LOVE reading posts about Peanut Butter. YUM. I bought a peanut butter lid/stirrer thingamabob for my natural peanut butter to mix the peanuts and the oil. It's awesome. Can you tell I HEART peanut butter? I have a 2TBSP container that I faithfully use to dole it out so don't you worry!
