Best of luck to the both of you!

Hi Everyone who took the time to read this. This is my first post I have been reading up on a lot of great information to prepare me for my journey. My first Drs. appointment is tomorrow so I am very early on in this process, not sure what all will happen tomorrow but I am very excited to get this rolling, I have already had my seminar, my family doctors visit (I go every 3 months due to the multiple heath issues) and now were just at a waiting point for my nut class and my blood work, ekg,chest x ray and because Im over 50 I have to have a stress test I hoping this all gets scheduled before I leave his office tomorrow....Wish me luck! ~~~Janie~~~

So I just got back from my appointment, it went very well I already have my phyc evail completed my family Drs appointment completed, Thursday I go for EKG Blood work and chest x ray then on Wednesday the 29th I have a stress since im over 50 (barely)and then the 17th I have my Nut class.My Dr stated the insurance I have is the best he has ever dealt with and shouldnt take the entire 30 days for approval! I just turn 51 yesterday and todays visit and getting appointments on record is the best present yet!!

This was nothing at all for me, filing out the paperwork took longer than the actual visit and I met with a social worker not even a psych. Mine just mainly went over the paperwork I had filld out and those questions were just general questions about your over all health why you want the surgery and asked if I had a support group he is actually the one that told me about this site. It was a very pleasant visit nothing at all to be nervous about and I didnt feel like I was being judge. Good luck to you it will be fine.

I will be 51 tomorrow. I dont have my 1st meeting with surgeon until Tuesday my goal for myself is to loose 140, well soon see what he would like, Good Luck to you both

I would agree Im still pre op but have read on here the issues with not being able to digest the hull, I woulnt even lick it either...toughen up butter cup this is just the 1st of many things you will have to turn down, take a protein shake and enjoy the time out of the house

Congrats! Thats going to be a great day for me as well. Its been at least 21 years since Ive been under 200. Its still a long way away for me I still dont have a date yet but cant wait!

Thanks guys I am lucky with the insurance I have I only had to be one Dr visit but due to my medical conditions I go to Dr every 3 months so providing the info for surgery woulnt of been a big deal, some of my co workers have had the sleeve as well and it seems like the it doesnt take to long for the insurance to approve. my first one on one with Dr is May 21st and I cant wait!

HI! my name is Janie, I joined this site today, no date for surgery yet, I have been to seminars had my psychiatry evail today and will meet one on one with Dr on the 21st I know it will be awhile before Im given a date but very excited for it. Good luck to you Alex!
