Thats fascinating. I remember the Dr Furhman (author of Eat to live) sad that true hunger is not signaled in the stomach, it is felt in the throat.

I was all kinds of upset about it when it was coming up. Embarrassment mostly. It was honestly nothing. They will sedate you. A few minutes later you'll wake up and it'll be over. You can walk out and have dinner an hour later. -
I'm still pre-sleeve but when I have lost noticeable weight iI don't want anyone to say anything more than "you look nice". I know a few people that have never said directly to me that i am fat but will definitely say something when i no longer am. I will try to think of a way to cut them off at the pass because i think the dramatic " you were SOOOO large!!!!!!!" That I expect to hear will be as hurtful as it would be now.

I'm glad you spoke up too. Ji don't know if i would have been able to. At least je apologized. The good thing is that he is one guy that will not likely ever make that mistake again. One down, 100000000000000000000000 to go.

WTH is wrong with people? I doubt that this fool was trying to be mean or hurtful but it doesn't sound like he was trying to be kind either. Please don't let this socially inept idiot's thoughtless remarks take away from your amazing success.

I'm not a nurse so take what i say for what it is, just an opinion.I requested that both be done together. It saves money and is was more convenient. The reason i chose to ask for both was that with a colonosçopy you have to drink a bowel prep solution and i didn't want to do that with a sleeve, not a brand new one anyway. Of course he's the Dr but i really cant see why a clear egd has anything to do with needing a colonoscopy. Blood in the rectum/stool can come from simple sources such as hemorrhoids or a small tear or from something else. He cant know which without looking imo. If i had blood i would request to do both and be done with it. Edited to add dropped line. -
I'm not a psychologist but i disagree with one point. Based on my own experiences I don't think this comes from a place of lack of control. I think that your inability to control the stressful issues that are ongoing in your life has brought you to this as the only thing you CAN control. Does that make sense? To explain... The difficult and sometimes unbearable things life throws at us are often totally out of our control. We are like sitting ducks and have to sit there and be hit with whatever comes our way. The job market and housing situations have dragged many down with them. One or two things at a time can be managed fairly well but when we get pummeled we grab onto something we can control, in my case eating the garbage that brought me to this place. I think you might be dealing with this like I have in the past. If you think of the triggers as the thing you can control you may find it easier to walk away from it, just like you did before. You can do this. Take a few minutes to remember the goal and how sweet it will when when you arrive. In my mind i see the new me on one side and the old me surrounded by the crap foods on the other. That makes it much easier to move in the right direction. The fact that you're human means you will stumble and even occasionally fall. The fact that you're determined means that you will right yourself and succeed. You got this!

Speaking of Pop tarts, am i the only one that can't seem to keep them upright in the toaster? They always tip over and are a booger to get out of the slot. Nevermind, I guess that's somebody elses problem now. Carry on. -

I've read this thread start to finish haven't read any arguments. I have read posts that agree with the OPs 1st post and others that simply stated that they disagree and explained why. I don't think the OP meant the post to be offensive but the opening paragraph easily could be offensive to some. -
Has anyone used Nioxin shampoo/cleanser/scalp therapy?
