    Exercise Queen in Pain!!!

Hi I am a registered nurse - - try drinking milk, sometimes low Calcium will cause muscle cramps, it usually helps them subside if you can increase your calcium intake. That is just one possibility - -I wouldn't stop taking your advair, unless they persist, then talk to your Dr. - - hope this helps wannabtiny banded 3-4-05

    OT - My Sisters Baby

My little nephew had this exact same thing! They had to do some Physical Therapy exercises with him over a period of a few months to strengthen the muscles on that side of his neck. I for the life of me can't remember the official name for it, but he is about 16 months now and walking like crazy with no residual effects from it all, he uses that side just fine now! Good luck!

    Return to work

    Sex????

Hey guys my darling hubby and I took advantage of the beautiful Hilton in Monterrey and we did the wild thing the next day after surgery!! Hee hee No kids around to barge in!! It was great by the way LOL banded 3-4-05
  6. Nykee I have had a hernia! Mine was in the umbilical area, I do not recall a lot of pain, however I had a sensation that my guts were popping out. I am a registered nurse and I knew what was going on pretty much right away - I felt like if I coughed I had to hold on my stomach or my gut was going to "blow out". This was not anything related to my banding - it was actually about 4 years ago, and I was pregnant and had bronchitis - -was coughing a bunch and had just had gallbladder surgery, so that area was weakened, by an incision. Very rarely are hernias emergant, however as others have said - "when in doubt, give a shout" to the doc that is!! Isn't amazing how in tune to our bodies we become after this surgery!! Good Luck & Keep us posted Nadine

  10. Hi I was just banded 3-4-05 at the San Pedro clinic - - everything went good!! Being a registered nurse I was very in tune to making sure that everything was up to snuff with my care - - everything was good-- Some things were a bit dated compared to how we do things, but that was expected. It definately was worth saving $2000 for, they put my husband and I in a very nice room with 2 beds a couch, rocker, coffee table etc. It was very nice and Dr. Rodriguez is a peach as well as his assistant Adriana!! I was very impressed even though I was scared to death when I 1st got there having noone speak english and leaving my babies back at home I thought maybe I had just lost my mind!! Dr. Rod was very reassuring!!

    Feeling Blue

Hi I am not banded yet, but I seem to always have trouble with the winter blues/blahs and generally dumpy feeling about February or March which I now recognize as SAD and from the advice of my counsellor many years ago, I go tanning a few times and it seems to improve my outlook immensely!! It is amazing what that lack of sunshine can do to how we feel Nadine
