    Unsavory burning

Well now it's officially been 2 weeks today since I've had my revision from band to sleeve. This has definitely been an experience for me. This morning I woke up with a dry mouth, migraine and a burning sensation in my chest. This really sucks and it's taking a toll on me emotionally. I'm feeling like whether or not this was such a good idea. It seems I am more emotional now over being sleeved. I'm trying so hard to do this but I'm so scared. I'm having the biggest doubts. I want to follow all the rules and be healthy but it seems harder than I thought it would be. I don't want to do anything wrong or kill myself. I don't know. I guess I will wait for my nut to call about the burning in my chest. I don't know if its heartburn, acid reflux or indigestion. I needed to spit up with it and I'm guessing acid reflux.

    Pre-op Diet With Revision?

I did a modified phase 2 south beach diet because I am diabetic. If I wasn't I would have to do phase 1. I was a revision 4/30/13. I did liquids 1 week and now on puréed foods. Everyone's nut is different. I would say watch what you eat so it doesn't bite you in the butt.

    3 days Post-Op & Cold

I experience the freezing also. I think it's normal for us especially since we shed so much weight quickly In the beginning.

    Low Caloric Intake

Thank you. I'm trying to. I'm still learning all this. This site is helping me so much. I will try my protein shakes like you suggested.
  8. I was revised 4/30/13. I had the lap band done 10/24/10 and on 4/30/13 I had the band removed and the sleeve done. I'm still going through fears but this site and my nut has helped me so much. You will always have fears but make sure you have a support system in place. The pain is so much less than the band. You will be up much quicker. Just follow the rules in your discharge plans and you will be fine. I will keep you in my prayers. We are all here for you. You are doing this for a better life. Good luck!

    Low Caloric Intake

Ok I need help. I was sleeved 4/30/13 and I'm on puréed foods. I find it so hard to get all my nutrients in. I was in the hospital for dehydration Thursday. Today I had less than 300 calories. I'm trying to eat the 5 small meals in my diet plan, the 2 calcium tablets, 3 multivitamins and the 40-60 grams of protein shakes. It's too much for my small tummy. Getting in my water is hard too. I need help and advice. I eat a little and stay full for hours. I don't want to end up like the other people sick with malnutrition. The tingling sensation I had from my diabetes returned today. I was taken off my metformin and my blood sugar was fine the 1st week of surgery. I'm worrying and feeling like did I make the right choice. I'm so close to my goal weight. It's so bad I was wishing I can get back my stomach lol. Please help.

    ANY APRIL SURGERIES?....

Can you add imbabiluv@yahoo.com to the FB group. I had my revision April 30th. Thank you
  12. Well I am on day 3 of pureed foods and I wanted something different so I put together this little meal in my crockpot and puréed it. Ingredients: Boneless and skinless chicken breast (I only used one because I was unsure of how it would turn out) 1 can of carrot slices drained Low sodium chicken broth 1 low sodium chicken stock concentrate *Optional mashed sweet potatoes or mashed potatoes about enough to to thicken once done If using pouch potatoes use 1 pouch, don't add the water but add the milk I added all the ingredients in my crockpot and set it on high ( low if you want to let it go longer while your busy). I cooked in on high for 4 hours. Check to see that the chicken pulls apart without no problem. I added one pouch of sweet mashed potatoes and the 1/2 cup of skim milk. I pureed it all. You can store this in containers or try cooling it off completely. Putting the purée into an ice cube tray. Freeze it. Then put into freezer bags and freeze them. Each time you need one just grab what you need and defrost. Heat it up by microwave. This was so good my kids loved it. It was something new and different. I hope someone can use it.
