Trying to gain some stats please help me out.
Wags replied to AutumnPunkin's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Bea, you really are AMAZING!! I appreciate all you do for the VST community! -
My Dr. told me not to worry about protein at all for the first couple weeks - just hydration. That's the most important thing. :-)

I went to Cancun with Verboonen, but Perez was his partner in surgery. I liked Perez way better! He did my drain removal and discharge consult. He was great!!

They also have it in a box of 7 pouches if you want to try it before you buy a whole tub of it.

Laura, thanks for always sharing your true feelings. I'm glad to know this before my first sleeved winter because winter affects me in a similar way. I drink the Proti-diet hot chocolate many nights. 90 calories and 15 grams of Protein. To me it is so delicious, hot, and so comforting. I got it on that website that you told us about a couple months ago :-)

Im having a hard time. Need some encouragement
Wags replied to birdmadgirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thank you red bean and Laura! You are right! food WAS the MAIN thing. I just have to find some new main things. I'm searching, but it's a process. I really love the support here. I have tried to explain this to my husband. He is sweet, but he can't understand it because he's not wired that way. -

I'm really glad you posted this. I am 4 months out and I feel the same way. I miss food. I can eat whatever I want, but just a little bit of it. I am struggling with what to do. I have learned that before I had the surgery, I basically did activities so I could have the food. Movies = popcorn, coke, and candy. Ball games = tailgating. Vacations & cruises = visiting favorite restaurants without restriction (I was on vacation after all). Not to mention going out to eat with family and friends. You name it and I had lots of food associated with it. Now I have to learn how to enjoy those things without the food. It's a really tough paradigm shift. I'm a city girl and I don't like outdoor activities. I don't find any happiness in exercise. I have lost 63 pounds and I am truly grateful for this surgery, but I am struggling with this part of it. -
Question about feeling full in chest after eating

I use a straw most of the time. My NUT said its ok if it helps you get in liquids. At first, the straw "ban" is about not getting as much air in the tummy. But I don't have problems with that so I use a straw. -
Random subjective question to people in the 250lbs mark on surgery day
Wags replied to Madam Reverie's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Sleeved 5/31 at 253 at size 22/24. At 9 weeks I went to a wedding and I had lost about 40 pounds. I wore a size 16 dress and 16/18 jeans. -
That is such a frightening story. I cannot believe your original doctor!!! I'm so glad you are doing better and I wish you the best.
