How Do You Explain Rapid Weight Loss, If You're Not Telling Coworkers About Wls
Wags replied to LSCLatina's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I tell them I'm on a high protein, low carb diet - supervised by my doctor. 79 pounds down in almost 6 months. -
Yes! Love it!

May be gallbladder? Have they checked that out?

What's Your Plan For Thanksgiving Dinner?
Wags replied to gamergirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The celery is because it is stringy. I don't know if the chopped up bits in stuffing would be bad but I wouldn't think so. My plan is to eat a little bit of everything - starting with turkey. I think the turkey will fill me up immediately so everything else will be just a bite or two. Don't know if I will log on MFP. I plan to be over on calories, but I still like to know by how much when I am. -
Sounds like gallbladder to me. Do you still have yours?

Current weight 176 Thanks Bea!

Niki! This is awesome news!!!! I'm so happy for you. It sounds like this awful time is almost over. No stent, capsule cam, surgery and YAY!!! You must be elated :-) -

I buy the Proti-diet Hot chocolate mix on BariatricChoice.com YUM!
-
At night I drink Protein hot chocolate. 90 calories - 15 grams of protein. The sweetness satisfies and for some reason, the hot drink makes me fuller than a cold drink. Go figure!

I'm 6 & 1/2 Months Out, How Do You Stay Motivated And On Track?
Wags replied to da1stladie's topic in WLS Veteran's Forum
When I was newly sleeved, I read this on a blog... "No motivation does not mean I won't do the work. The work needs to be done. I will never rely on motivation. Too risky." -
Happy Veteran's Day to you :-)

I have a couple pairs of Miss Me Jeans. None of them are acid wash, so I am not sure about that being in style. I love their skinny jeans with high heel boots! So cute!

Well first off - your profile pic is adorable!!!!! LOVE it!!! As for the bad news, you're right that it just keeps coming one after another. This bad news could turn into good though because at least they have identified some possibilities for your ongoing problems. It just SUCKS that it took the bariatric surgeon 1349337487 times to look a little farther down. Sheesh! It's not like he/she had to look at other body parts (like your legs) to find it!! How is it looking for the feeding tube? No news is good news?? Blessings to you!!! Linda -
I like "Miss Me" jeans with all that embellishment on the back pockets. They ride low and would look great with your new tummy.

You May Be More Successful Than You Think....
Wags replied to gamergirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You my dear, have lost a whopping 72% of your EWL. You realize that by bariatric standards you have exceeded what the average patient achieves right? Congratulations! Yay me!!! Thanks so much! 5 months and 10 days and 72%! I am so stubborn that nothing less than 100% will do!! I fully plan on proving those statistics wrong!! You will too Gamer!! :-) -

Niki, I am so profoundly sorry for all you have suffered. Please do not give up hope. You are too special and your family loves and needs you. Thank you for continuing to share updates with us. I pray that you will find relief soon. -
Hi Bea, it has taken me 4 days to get signed on to this new app. My weight on Thursday was 179. (Still is today) :-). Down 4 pounds in one week. Hasn't happened to me for awhile! Expecting the accompanying stall next week, but wouldn't that be cool if it didn't happen!!!
