Everyone "thinks" they are an expert! The only people who really know how you feel and what you are doing are the people who have had the sleeve. You could choose to ignore, delete or educate them as to the sleeved life. That's up to you. Me? I'd delete them. We need positive people to help us in this journey of ours. Congratulations on your weight loss!! Could you share your recipe with us? Thanks!!

Does coffee effect weight loss?
Wags replied to christieouchley's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My NUT says coffee is dehydrating. So for every cup you have, you have to have twice as much water to replace it. If you have one cup of coffee, you need to drink two cups of water to counteract the effects ( in addition to your regular 64 ounces). -
Possible complications?

The discharge and the blood in stool is something you need to call about right away according to my doctor's instructions. -
When were you sleeved?

I would love that! Thanks so much!!!

No grapes until much later. They have an outer membrane that is hard to digest. And seeds if not seedless.

I also track my water and exercise. Those can both affect my weight loss.

Teachers Supporting Sleeved Teachers

I had a 12 day liquid Pre-op. The first couple days were rough, but I took Tylenol to get through the headaches. Those were due to withdrawal from sugar, caffeine, etc. After the first couple days it wasn't too bad. I lost 10 pounds. The preop is to shrink your liver so the surgeon has better access during surgery. It's not necessarily to lose weight, but I was glad I did because I gained 10 pounds from the IV fluids during my hospital stay. I was very grateful to have gone through the sugar and caffeine withdrawals preop because it would have been awful to go through that in addition to the surgery recovery at the same time! -

I am a teacher too! I teach 3 & 4 year old children with special needs. I love my Pre-K students!! I was sleeved on 5/31 and have lost 30 pounds so far. I was sleeved in Cancun, Mexico. It's great to have a teacher's group. Thanks for starting it! -
Sleeved 5/31. Down 30 pounds in 5 weeks. Yay!

Joannao, I believe that you didn't know what it meant. But can we please drop the animosity? You said it really well when you said "it is what it is". Nothing any of us say is going to change what happened.

Isn't "coon" a racial slur? Why would you say that? That's mean and racist.
