What does it feel like to be 'full'?
Eva Linder replied to Ree's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Let me put it this way, you know when you´re full and you still finnishes the plate with those extra bites that you really don´t need because you just can´t leave food? Well, with the sleeve, there is no chance to finnish anything when your tummy sais NO! That´s the moment it will hit you that overeating is not an option. That´s why I love my sleeve! -
Have stalled at 6 months
Eva Linder replied to Dallasgrl47's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I´m only two weeks out but I know they told me to expect the loosing to really slow down after 6 month or so. So I guess what you are experiencing is normal. As long as you don´t gain I wouldn´t be worried. -
June 5th surgery... and freaking out!
Eva Linder replied to Ana87's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Freaking out is normal. You may even experience a moment of "OMG what have I done" right after surgery. This will pass and you will embrace your new fantastic tool to health and wellbeing. Good Luck on your journey. -
I went a little crazy this evening
Eva Linder replied to HopefulintheNW's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
The way you are preparing for your new lifestyle, you can´t go wrong. The more prepared you are the easier the op and the journey will be. I was also ready for everything and anything and I think that that is one of the reasons everything is going so smooth. lbs are coming off and I am getting more and more energy every day. Good Luck! -

Feeling Guilty...I took "the easy way out"
Eva Linder replied to gmanbat's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I don´t think it matters if you call it the easy way out. Let them call it what they want. I am retrieving my health and if people have a problem with that, too bad! I do believe that envy is a big part of it. As long as there are someone fatter than themselves, they don´t address the issue of their own weight. -
It's so easy to get discouraged

Your at a crossroads. Here are your options. A safe journey to health and wellbeing or a journey to sickness and early death. Your move! -
I was sleeved on may 21. I had studied everything available to know all about the surgery. I am 53 so I not too young either. Well, I was prepared for anything and everything, I figured I only have so many years left and wouldn´t it be great to live those years in good health? First day post op I said to my self, OMG what have I done? That was just a moment and from then on it has been nothing but good. No pain, no nausea, no hunger. I drink and eat what I am supposed to, lbs are flying off and I couln`t be happier. Today I went in to the store to look at clothes I will soon be able to wear.

Eva Linder replied to iontash's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I am so proud over my sleeve and no one could ever make me feel different about it. Here is what I think, as long as you are fat your ok. Now Girl, you´re loosing weight and so you can become a threat. Enjoy your ride and endure the envy that comes with it! -
Hello from the sleevedc side!

Welcome to the sleevers club. It´s great to be here? Isn´t it? -
It´s funny how different advice can be. I live in Sweden and we Swedes are huge coffeedrinkers. Nothing has ever been said about not being allowed to have coffee. As a matter of fact, at the clinic I was offered coffee day 1 post op. I drink half and half, coffee and lactose free milk. And decaf doesn´t hardly exist in Sweden. If you come here and ask for decaf they will go dewhat? I feel great, I drink coffee everyday and I will continue to do so.

Where the May sleevers i just got my date!
Eva Linder replied to Luvlvnlyfe5's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Relax, from here on it gets easier by the minute. I believe that part of the panic is due to the fact that you might think that the state you are in now will last forever. It won´t, and after a month when people ask you how the surgey went, you´ll go "Piece of cake"! -
New around here :)
Eva Linder replied to megandearcos's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
You won´t regret it. Life is so much easier with the sleeve. You can eat anything but in very small portions. The great thing is that you feel full and so you´re satisfied with what would just be an appatizer in the old days. So welcome to the sleevers lounge! -
Your on your way! Happy Trails! It will be the most important journey of your life, the one about getting your helth and body back.

Sleeved on May 21st, 2013
Eva Linder commented on California Girl's blog entry in California Girl's Blog
I was also sleeved on the 21 of may. However, I live in Stockholm Sweden and we were supposued to be 4 ladies operated on that day but one was cancelled and I think it had to do with the fact that her blodpressure was to high, or maybe she chickend out. It was so easy, first night, discomfort and some nausea and from then on it got better fast. I am sitting with a bowl of tomato soup and enjoying life. I am so happy I went through this. Lets go back to the part of the lady that didn´t go throug with the op. The day before we were all in the clinic to do all the testing and while we were sitting in the waiting room a sleever came in. This was a woman who had had her surgery a month ago. She was so mad that she couldn´t eat or drink properly. She started to tell us a horror story about her surgery and how awful it was and how much pain she was in. The poor lady was so scared that she told me she was thinking of bailing out, and i guess later she did. So my point is this, be prepared for anything and everything but you need to know that your decision to do the operation comes from within you and is not to be messed with. -
Thanks for the heads up..

Surgery date is June 10th!
Eva Linder replied to SUZI-Q's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well, I can say this. The post op diet is so much easier, you don´t feel the hunger the same way and hunger is so easy to still with minimum intake. I couldn´t believe it, I´m 8 days post op and energy is high and hunger is low. -
Good luck and welcome to the loosers lounge!

Water?
Eva Linder replied to Craving2BaHealthyMommy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Tapwater nausea is what some call it. I hear that it helps if you just put a little flavor in it.
