    Banded June 18th

yep...we were together.. how are you doing? I am so glad to hear from one of you. I was the one with my husband....since I am a secret bander (silly I know) I won't mention my name, but I'm sure you know who I am. I am hoping that I'll get the email address's from all of you so we can go on this journey together.. I have found that sipping vitamin water through out the day helps. I have to admit that the smell of food does get to me...I can't wait for FOOD!! I have never needed to be actually hungry to eat..I just eat because something looks good and I want it. I am behaving myself though, we can do this! Keep me posted on what works for you and how you are doing.

    Banded June 18th

Well it finally happened. I am banded. I went to TJ to have it done. It was an easy transition. They take care of everything. transportation from airport to hotel...transportation to hospital and back. It was very clean and professional. Everyone was very pleasant and helpful. It didn't suffer from the trapped gas I heard so much about, but I did take a papaya chewable enzeme that you can get in any health food store. I always take enzemes so I know the value of taking them. Anyway I am very glad it is over with...I stressed so much about getting it done...should I ....shouldn't I. I am glad I did...so far, so good. Dr. Ortiz and Dr. Martinez and their staff know what they are doing. Just follow their instructions and go for it....oh and a added bonus was meeting some very nice new friends that I am sure, will go on this journey with me.

    Is it my gall bladder

If you take "White Oak Bark" daily, you won't get gall stones or kidney stones..it is an herb...once you get the stones, however, it will not work. It needs to be taken daily to prevent them...When you lose weight that fast, it does up your chances for gall stones...A lady at a health food store told me about it, and she said people who have suffered from stones (both kinds) and who have started taking the herb, have not had stones since...it's worth a try....I get banded in a few days and I have started taking it just in case...I do not want gall stones!! good luck!

    Perhaps a dumb question?

this is my first day on this site. I am going to be banded in two weeks. I am really struggling with staying on a diet, to lose weight prior to surgery, because I am wanting to eat foods (that I am hearing from others) I will never be able to eat again...like bread, Mexican food, and steak. I can usually stick to a diet for short periods of time..until now...is there anyone out there who relates?? any ideas that might help??
