Not required to have any proteins until 3 weeks post op per surgeon. smashed beans, hard boiled eggs, cottage cheese, amd mashed potatoes are some things on my week 3 diet.

June sleevers, what are you eating?

Sleeved june 27th ... went from clear liquids to full liquids yesterday. I am allowed to juice as long as there are no chunks. SF chocolate pudding (even though allowed) did not sit well. Thinned cream of wheat or oatmeal without fruit (I put it in my nutibullet with a lil unsweetened almond milk)... success!

    Blue Shield of California?

Hi there. I have anthem blue cross, but my friend has blue shield (ppo) and yes, according to her insurance she had to lose 30 lbs and have the 6 month guided diet with several nutrition classes. I know that sucks, but hope that helps. Good luck to u!

    Nutribullet

My mother in law just sent my husband and I one in the mail! Got it saturday and went straight to the store to load up on spinach, kale, strawberries, broccoli, carrots, apples and pears. Does anyone add protein powder to theirs? I'm new to self made shakes, but usually drink the premier protein shakes from costco. Can anyone recommend a website for recipes, sample menu, etc?

    headed to this sleep study

I deprived myself of sleeping more than 6 hours the two nights before my sleep study. I got there around 730, they hooked me up, watched an hr of tv and didnt even make it to the 10 o'clock news lol. Good luck!

    EGD at noon

I asked my nurse the same thing about being put completely under, but she said that it's not a procedure that requires you to be. They gave me just enough anesthetics to feel like everything was in slow motion and felt really relaxed. It was over before I knew it. The worst part was getting poked 5 times for the IV so drink plenty of water before fasting.
  16. Good luck to all the may sleevers! You can do it

    Recently dx with sleep apnea

Still havent set my surgery date yet, but I'm in the first month of using my cpap with a full face mask. Some days are better than others, but for the most part I'm feeling better when I wake up. I was getting restless legs before bed and horrendous headaches in the middle of the nite. I also wake up to the noise of the mask un-suctioning from my face so I just make it tighter and fall back to sleep.
