I drink regular coke at least once a week. It doesn't bother my sleeve as I'm 15 months out. I started drinking them at about 6 months. Now other sodas do bother my sleeve, I have no idea why. Dr. Pepper is the worst, it causes horrible gas and will not come up or go down for a long period of time. Everyone is different . It's up to you how you feel and if you want to try them.

I know it's hard going through the pre op. You just have to remember those pounds you lose before will be less pounds you have to lose after the surgery. Isn't that the reason for having the surgery to begin with. Please don't ever think you can't have some certain food again because you can after the surgery. It's just up to you to remember if that food is what got you to be obese in the first place. You are having this surgery for you and no one else, and the only person your cheating is yourself. Don't you want your colon and intestinal tract to be clean and your liver to be smaller when starting this new healthy lifestyle? It is HARD but you can do it. You already took the hardest step in realizing that you need this surgery and accepting responsibility for what you have done to yourself. No more grieving, food will always be there. Good luck and stay true to yourself, don't let your brain lie to you anymore. You can do this. Believe in yourself the way we believe in you.

I was just wondering, if anyone thinks that maybe some people lie about the surgery is because they don't want to be held accountable? Say if they are not losing weight or if they eating the wrong foods . Maybe they are still trying to hide their food secrets. Just a thought.

My prayers are with you and your family. I went through this with my brother this past April. Thankful to God that he made it. They removed half of his right lung and he is going through radiation in 2 months. He started chemotherapy right after he had his surgery. Your DH is in great hands as long as you leave him in Gods.

All of the slushes do not have carbonation. But they have sugar. -

Why do the non believers feel the need to post on this. Wasn't this intended for the believers? So much animosity , so sad that there is nothing better to do but belitte the people of faith. I think I'll go and post in the Atheist Form and ruffle their feathers. No Matter what this country was founded on religion. The freedom to chose what you want to believe in. I, myself do believe in God. You try and take God out of everything and look at how much this country is becoming more violent everyday. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using VST

That is a great NSV! These are better than looking at the scale and wo.dering if it will move today or not.

All I know is with friends like some of you who in the hell needs enemies. If blindsided did lie ( which I really believe she didnt) so be it. But if she is telling the truth I feel for her, because she was used which is wrong. I hope and pray for all the stone throwers out there that you all are saints but doubt it.

What the bottom line is to all this is, just dont fall for any man who starts throwing compliments and is touchy feelie. You have to remember most guys not all will tell a girl or women what they want to hear just to sleep with them. A man is a man no matter if he is a doctor or a president they will always tell you what you want to hear (Bill Clinton). Just take a step back and look at the whole picture, the dr was in a different country there is no way he would leave his great life behind even though you would for him. Its not blindsided' s fault, she fell for some pretty suave words that led her to heart break. Im sure this life lesson she will be cautious from now on. Hell men do those things all over the world (not all men) but most. She will be fine it will just take some time to heal her broken heart. If you are reading this blindside I will still be hear if you need support.
