    Personal trainer question!

Mark, that's exactly what I wanted to hear!! I don't feel bad. I know my body and I know my limitations. I just don't see what half assing it is gonna do for me and I'm definitely not paying a trainer for that! Thanks for the advice!

    Personal trainer question!

Exactly!! I agree with all of you. I think I'll talk to Clint, my trainer, and somehow relay to him that she doesn't know what she's talking about, without being too blunt, which is hard for me. Thanks for the input!

    Personal trainer question!

I started working out with a personal trainer last night. I've known him forever so it was good! His boss (also a trainer) annoyed me though. She said first off that wls is crazy and she would've never let me do that to myself. She said she gets very frustrated when training her clients who've had wls bc there's a very specific zone they have to keep their heart rate in in order to lose weight. She told my trainer if he takes me out of that zone, he'll cause me to gain weight. I know what she's talking about.. It's a test you get done that tells you at what heart rate you burn fat most effectively. It's for EVERYBODY, not just wls patients. We all have a zone that works best for our bodies and we are all very different. Anyway, she made it sound like he can't ever work me very hard. I know right now being only 2 1/2 months out, I only consume 600 to 800 cals per day so obviously I can't go very hard yet, but eventually I would like to step it up, alot. I am a former athlete. I like to weight train. Is she right? Or is she an idiot? How hard do you all work out?

Post-Op Day 5: Worried I feel too normal!

I never really felt full on the liquids phase. When you move to purées and solids, you'll feel more satisfied and you will definitely know when you've over done it and you will regret it! Lol
  7. Sleeved April 16th. Starting weight 224. Current weight 202. 16 pounds down since surgery. 22 lbs down total. 1 week of pre-op diet is all I had to do.

    I am worried

I too have chewed and spit. Lol. It was black licorice. Looked like chewing tobacco I was spitting out I'm sure but I didn't care at the time!

    Stalling so soon?!

So glad to hear some of you have broke your stalls! Mine finally broke too after almost two weeks. I have lost 3 more pounds in the past 5 days. I did start using my fitness pal also but I'm sure the stall wouldve ended regardless, just helps to see what im eating. Hopefully I can lose a lot more before the next stall hits...
  11. no problem! good luck going back! For me it was kind of nice to go back and focus on something other than food (or the lack of) lol. My job is very physical. Ilift patients all day long. I was careful and had no issues at all. Just stay hydrated, which we have all heard a million times
  12. I went back in to work in 6 days, you should be ok.
  13. i was the same way! I thought i was physically hungy but as time went by, i realized the growling was actually stomach acid.. and i wasnt so much hungry as i was addicted to carbs and wanted to eat them to feel satisfied. It gets much easier when you are able to eat soft foods!!I am now 3 weeks post op and not struggling nearly as much. Dont be discouraged, it really does get better

  15. I was sleeved on a Tuesday and had to go to Branson that Friday for my daughter's cheep competition. It was a 5 hour drive. We stopped every hour so I could get out and walk. I did just fine. Just be sure to get up and move and drink your fluids! You'll be fine too
