Worn out bras are gonna have to do for now i refuse to buy anything my size anymore.....But that feeling I'm gonna get buying a simple cheap sexy bra is going to be awesome... -
Any VSG people in Hampton Roads?
Sharshar09 replied to amy1981's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Late post maybe there are more of us... I'm in Hampton getting sleeved by Dr. Clark -
I'm in Hampton not quite your area but Virginia none the less

I'm in nursing school and it is constantly on my mind about how I am going to cope... My director had the lap band done so she is supportive of me but I'm wondering about being able to focus in class and keeping up with studying after surgery it's nerve racking!
-
Yea my PCP referred me to Dr. Clark and I went to his office "the center for weight loss" in Newport News and have been doing everything with them. It's really nice there they have there own insurance specialist and dietician. He does his surgeries at sentera but everything else all the appointments and consultations are at his office.... I have been trying to enquire more about the price of the surgery but they told me its all up to sentera and my insurance company. They do have a fee directly but includes all of your post of visit a monthly weight management thing where you weigh in, support groups and a whole bunch of other add ons.

Oh wow I didn't know the price was such a big difference .... Did u go to Dr. Clark's office or just to a sentera surgeon
-
That's great I have to get my PCP to give me my letters for clearance and my nutritional visit paperwork and then I can submit to the insurance company...I can't wait to get this started....

Hey I'm a Virginia sleever in the preop phase. I'm in Hampton and my surgeon is Dr. Clark... Do you have a date yet?

Anyone with PCOS?
Sharshar09 replied to nataliesunshine's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I have PCOS and I'm hoping this surgery is going to be the answers to my prayers. I like many of you have had all the annoying hair issues and fertility issues that PCOS comes with. I'm hoping they will go away after surgery. It is such a pain and so embarrassing for me when i used to miss my periods when i was younger it never bothered me but now I'm 25 and I'm scared about my fertility I can't wait to get this issue resolved! -
Yea I though it was three months... I started in February too I'm calling Cigna Right Now!! To find out because I don't want to have any problems
-
Thanks I will continue the process and see where it takes me. Frustrating as it is I'm gonna follow up with the sleep study stuff
-
I'm having some questions about submitting my insurance claim for surgery with or without the sleep apnea sleep study. I know I have sleep apnea but my appointment isn't until after my submit date. should I wait until I after i do the sleep apnea study then submit to CIGNA or should I go ahead and submit it without it being done. Do you all think that having sleep apnea affects your approval? Has anyone submitted and gotten approved without sleep apnea ?
-
See my BMI is high its a 46 and I also have PCOS and joint problems in my ankle I was hoping that was enough I do want to know if I have it but the appointments for the sleep study are so booked up
-
When you say you missed it by one day do you mean your last vist to the PCP wasn't exactly a full month...I ask this because my appointment with my PCP for my final nut visit isn't exactly a month and maybe I should change my date so I don't run into this problem
-
How do you know how many stars your dr. Is?
-
Congrats!! But if you don't mind me asking what happened why did you get denied the first time?
-
Yes congrats that is awesome!!! this gives me hope! my last month of PCP visits is this month I have everything else all done this totally make me feel like there is light at the end of this tunnel!!
