Thanks for sharing! I was very curious if there is a whole lot of difference, but they all seem to do their job. I had a small AP band put in yesterday!

Did you feel bloated right after your surgery? I got my band yesterday and feel pretty good. I am super bloated though. Is this the gas that's going to dissipate through my shoulders or is just swelling?

I'm so surprised at all the different "rules" we all have to go through. I see that many of you have to wait 6 or more weeks to get your fill. In Dr. Benavides office yesterday, they told us that we can schedule our first fill 4 weeks after our surgery. Yay!!! Also, we can sip beverages with our meals. Can you say glass of vino? Oh yeah..... They did say that our band will surely make us cheap dates! Wheeeeeeee Good luck to everyone today; I become a bandster tomorrow!

Oh well....LOL. The first part of our meeting was with Stephanie and she gave us lots of information. I was thrilled to hear that Dr. Benavides allows sipping with meals. Yay!!! I wish I had thought to bring my camera...great idea! Best of luck to you on your road to littlebaby!

Bigbaby...did you have your pre-op this morning at 10:00? I was there at that time and I believe there was one woman having her surgery done on Monday. If you were there at 10:00, we were there together!!!

Good luck to everyone being banded tomorrow! Bgbaby, yes my surgeon is Dr. Benavides too, although I haven't met him yet. LOL I go for my pre-op tomorrow at 10:00 and then my surgery is Friday at 10:00. Apparently the pre-op is a group thing for Q&A and then a one on one with the doctor. I'll let you know how it goes. So, those of you that got banded about a week ago.....do you think you'd do okay on a road trip? I am having my surgery this Friday and then have to get in the car the next Thursday and drive/ride for about 11 hours. Can't miss my son's baseball tournament! LOL Any tips you have would be appreciated too!

Recently watching my mother go through major surgeries because her body is just giving out on her......realizing that it most likely could be me in 20 years. Being overweight hasn't necessarily caused her problems, but it sure hasn't helped. It's time for me to stop messin' around.

I'm a newbie here and just wanted to pop in and say hi! I went for my seminar on Tuesday and being banded next Friday. Yay--the fast track! I have read so much encouraging information here and I appreciate the advice of everyone here. Thanks and keep up your great work!

I was able to get all of my pre-op testing done today. They required full bloodwork, chest x-ray, EKG and psych evaluation. I'm a self-pay patient and that probably makes a difference.

My process is happening very quickly, I'm thrilled to say. From seminar to surgery, it will be 11 days! I wanted to get it done in time to have some days to recover before a road trip and the advocate at my center has been able to make it happen.

Wheeee...this is my first post here! I am on a fast track and will be banded next Friday, the 15th. I went to my seminar on Tuesday morning and had all my pre-ops done today. The pre-op diet starts tomorrow; I'm on my way. I am thrilled beyond words! Good luck to everyone!
