  1. OK I had to share this cuz I made it this evening and several families loved it. So here it goes: It is basically a fruit salad One package of fat free coolwhip One small pkg of sugar free strawberry Jello Mix those together till jello is basically dissolved Then add 12 oz of reduced fat cottage cheese Then add 1 cup of sliced strawberries and 1 bannana sliced (I left these out this time because I am not at the point where I can have raw fruit..but it was very good and tons of protein) ENJOY!
  2. Today I had a 7 week follow up visit. I am down 45 lbs. Plus last week I lost 220 lbs when the man that I thought I was gonna spend the rest of my life with left our family.

    Cauliflower pizza

I must say I was so thrilled with it. I found a recipe on Pinterest for Cauliflower pizza crust. I made that and for the sauce I used the cauliflower alfredo sauce. then topped with shredded queso cheese. I loved it and so did my kids. MY ole man says he might like it if it had real pizza sauce and maybe some toppings. so next time I have to make too. Dein finatley gonna be a recipe to make again...Cant even tell it is made of cauliflower amazing!

    Dizziness after surgery

I had the same issue after surgery...I was on a patch that went behind my ear for 10 days. It was the only thing that worked for me. They say you can get them from pharmacy area for motion sickness they are the same thing...mine was a prescription from the hospital but they said if I needed them after to go to walgreens.
  10. yeah this is normal as, had the same issue...it is where the stomach is taken out. It does get better I promise. Take each day as it comes.
  11. I am 5 weeks post op as well, and I have not ventured out to test the waters that much. I eat very small amounts of food, currently eating chicken breast strips, (precooked out of the deli section) that is a staple in my diet. I love eating real food, but I can barely eat 2 tbls. One other food I really enjoy eating is quinoa....love that stuff.
  12. Your question is not out of the ordinary alot of people ask the same question. I think mine was day 7. but you have to remember that you are NOT eating alot of food and your body is really using what you are putting into it. so not much waste to get rid of...and your intestines are very long, you would think that it would come out faster but without something behind it pushing it out.
  13. Well I am not at 3.5 months out by any means, I am actually 5 weeks out and as of today I am down 38 lbs. My goal was to be down 40 by july 4th. I am looking forward to the future because I love my sleeve. Congrats to everyone on their current post op accomplishments. Everyday is a new one and a new adventure.

    question about food

Just like everyone above stated..you just need to be up front bout it, otherwise she will never stop pushing it on you. Good luck

    chinese food

Would love to taste some chineese food again, but I do NOT plan on trying that one for a long while. there is so much different seasonings used and alot of MSG. so for me it would be a huge NONO...plus you would only be able to have like I piece of meat and some veggies so unless you made it at home not worth the money

    Im 5 days post op

I am 5 weeks out and I have to say that I you need to stay hydrated, the protein you will not be able to get this all in for a while, and take things slowly, if you are feeling like vomiting then you are taking in to much right now, remember you are still very swelled inside. dont push it, stay on clear or full liquids.
  21. you are doing AMAZING!

    Major Mistake

You havent done any damage other than just to much intake. Getting in all your protein is hard especially in the 1st few months from what I have been told. You are do great. just take each day as a new day and just take that as it comes
  23. just add the cheese...even cream cheese to spagetti sauce is amazing
