I have to say I was total opposite...I told my family and a couple of my closest friends...I was afraid at first but I wanted the support of my family. The only person that I had an issue with was my brothers wife (she is a know it all nursing students). We dont even know each other, so I just blew her off...But everyone in my family was very supportive and now both my parents are thinking of doin it too.

Well...The fact is we were all FAT. I can say for myself...I come from many generations of OBESE family members. One thing to remember on here is that none of us know each other personaly. It is only normal to assume you had some bad habits. I know that I did...there were foods that I didnt enjoy very often so when I did have them I would over induldge...but at the same time you would find me at the gym several times a week for the past several years. For me the more that I worked out the more I gained. So the best thing to realize is these people dont know you and they are only giving you information based on what they know to best answer the questions you have...if you dont like what they say just dont take their advice. We are all here to learn and hopefully encourage...all our drs. give us different guidlines. -
O dont you worry bout that, you will have plenty of pain meds that you wont have to worry bout menstral cramps...you will have enough other pain and soreness that your period wont be an issue at all!

Have you tried isopure? it is a clear protein and it can be sweet...but it is very freezable and you can use as your ice cubes in your water so you get your water and protein at the same time

Well...I am glad your husband is on his way home...as far as your liquid diet goes...it was very easy for me and I had 3 kids and and ole man to cook for still. You get unlimited liquids...I loved better than boulion...that and sherbert were my saviors...at the 1st sign that you want to eat drink something or eat some sherbert.

You poor thing...I giggled when I read this....well...these surgeons have seen the obese of the obsese that havent seen their sweet stuff in years....so I really dont think that would be a concern of yours at all...they are more interested in your tummy...the only thing I would do is make sure you dont have a plug in cuz you are NOT gonna be able to change that...Just saying I am 10 days post op and still cant bend in the middle...still sore
